Silk is a charming, sexy/sweet, heat up the sheets, Christmas novella. Jon Carver is adverse to celebrating Christmas but when his Uncle Errol calls him back home, he heads out to Whispering Cove and the painful past that he tried to leave behind. Little does he know that his Uncle is a meddling matchmaker and thinks that the lovely chef of the B&B would be a perfect match for his nephew and a way to get him to come home for good. Lovely Lila Sheppard is a tempting package and one look at Jo ...more

This story is part of Cathryn Fox's Whispering Cove series! A hot Christmas story!
Jon Carver is heading back home for the holidays because his uncle Errol has insisted that he needs to be home for this holiday season, both which Jon has disliked since the Christmas that his parents were killed in a car accident. This year however, coming home is bittersweet because he has the opportunity to meet and spend the holiday with Lila Sheppard. Lila runs the local B&B out of Jon's childhood ho

These cantankerous, meddling, old men really carry these books along. Finding matches for their relatives and bringing love and happiness (and a few babies) to whispering cove. I love the whole series and this book fits in great.
A short read, we get a full story full of healing pain, guilt, laughter and love. Jon and Lila are such a good match. Their chemistry jumps off the page from the start. Lila is a very easy going, laid back character who allows Jon to heal in his own time.

I had high hopes for this. It turned out to be another by the numbers small town romance. Few small towns exist where everyone likes everyone else. It’s more like a soap opera with no drama and not realistic. John didn’t sound or act much like a real person. Half the book was they made love. The two sex scenes were actually boring. The narration was pretty rote as well.

This was a sweet Christmas number that was really quite enjoyable. Normally I don’t really go for holiday themed stories—mainly because I have so many other books I want to read that I just chug on and completely forget—but I had a bit of the Christmas spirit in me, so I took this one on. I like that Lila and Jon were so simple. Neither was expecting much of anything. Lila lived carefree and happily, while Jon was strong but sad/>Hotness/>My

*This book was provided in exchange for an honest review.* This was my first encounter with Cathryn Fox and her books, and I know this is book 8 in a series, and to be completely honest I was a little bit leery for that very reason. I was very afraid I would be jumping in the middle of a story and I wouldnt know who the characters were or their backstory. That being said, Cathryn Fox does a PHENOMENAL job of making this part of a series as well as a stand alone novel. I didnt feel lost at ...more

Jon was a lifetime resident of Whispering Cove, but one night and one tragic accident sent him running away with a sense of guilt that has plagued him for years.  His great-uncle, good 'ol Errol, has called him back to town under "emergency" circumstances to spend the holidays with him.  His only family left.  But as we know with the old irish men of Whispering Cove, he had something up his sleeve in the way of matchmaking.

If you are searching for a fresh holiday romance that combines the perfect balance of heat, goodness and emotion, look no further than Silk (Whispering Cove) by Cathryn Fox. This is a well-written novella that was so good I could not put it down. Whispering Cove, Maine, is the perfect place to fall in love and enjoy the flavors of the holiday season.

I’m usually not to keen on Christmas books, I don’t know what it is. Don’t get me wrong I love Christmas and the festivities that come along with it. But I usually just can’t get into Christmas setting books, except for this one. This story had the perfect amount of holiday cheer in it.

Jon doesn't look forward to this time of year and avoids his small hometown and much as possible. Especially around this time of the year. Then his Great Uncle Errol calls him and insists that he needs him to com

For Jon Christmas time is nothing more than a reminder of everything he lost seven years ago. He stays far away from his hometown because he doesn't want to be reminded of how much everyone blames him for what happened, but when his Great Uncle unexpectedly calls saying he needs Jon at home he has no choice but to come back and face everything and everyone he left behind.

Lila came to Whispering Cove to get away from the big city and enjoy a peaceful life cooking on a friends show and

This is a really enjoyable series, it always reminds me of the Harlequins I read in my youth. The only difference is these books are all sexed up, no closed bedroom doors here! They are generally formula romances but that does not make them any less entertaining.

This time around we have Doc John and Chef Lila, they make a very sexy pair!! I love their dynamic and especially enjoy their banter. Hot and heavy only scratches the surface of their steamy encounters!! Oh girl, have the fan

Whispering Cove is a sweet little town that I wanna move to. A town where everyone knows everyone and there's always that little group of old men who have nothing better to do with their time then meddle in everyone else's lives. That's Whispering Cove.

Silk is the story of fast paced chef, Lila, who turns B&B owner, and big city surgeon, Jon, who's trying to escape his past. Jon is called home thinking there's something wrong with his favorite uncle only to discover the memories he's been t

Silk is a quicker Holiday read, but it's definitely not short in terms of passion and steam. Jon comes back to his home town for the holidays to find a great uncle meddling in his personal life. Lila is renting Jon's family's local B&B and she's hoping Santa brought her this sexy hunk of a man for Christmas. Jon has walls he needs to let crumble around his heart and find forgiveness within himself. The fire heats quickly and seeing POVs f

Holy HOTNESS!

Jon, god bless his kind hearted soul, is a lost one at that. Feeling alone in the world and carrying the burden of thinking it was his fault he lost his family, he has lost his Christmas spirit.

Death can do that to a person, strip them down and be long forgotten, that's what it's like.

Lila moved miles apart from her family, something she never thought she would do.
Would she be able to survive Christmas?

Meddling Uncle Errol lures Jon home for the holidays but will he be able to keep him there? Will Jon be able to overcome his past and find his future? This was a steamy Christmas story that takes place in the cutest small town, Whispering Cove. I really enjoyed the story and found myself laughing out loud in spots..
This was the first book by Cathryn Fox I have read but it definitely won't be the last!
