“Anything I can do to help you?” “Just be you, Everleigh. That’s all I need.”

The good: Solid plot and story line; likable characters and admirable comadre between them; clever use of quotations by famous persons integrated into the beginning of each chapter that foreshadow each event.

The bad: Nothing constructive that I can embellish on.

The characters:

Everleigh Carsen: Medium blonde hair, oval face, blue-green eyes, and full lips. Student at Hensley University; Business major. Mother is dece

What a nice and romantic surprise! I really need to read more books without knowing exactly what they are about. It’s so exciting to dive into a novel without any earlier knowledge. I love to pick up the pieces by myself and guessing what will happen next. It’s like solving puzzles. And when finally I get all picture I’m so giddy and full of the best feeling ever!

I really, really enjoyed this one. I highly recommend it to fans of funny, sweet romances. Muah!

This is going to be a difficult review to write, what do you say about a plot you liked but didn't support it's execution?

I'll start with the good, because this book was definitely good. The plot was suspenseful, moved well and was funny at times. Parts of it reminded me of Easy, another NA contemporary romance that blew me away. While this didn't do exactly that, it did keep me interested till the very end. I really liked Hunter. He was a great hero, kind, funny, considerate, supportiv

Absolutely Amazing... This Story consumed me for the last 24hrs and I would recommend it to EVERYONE!!!

This is Genna’s debut novel and let me just say she has a new follower and a fan to her writing for life. For a debut novel this story is truly awesome.

An enjoyable mix of romance, friendship and mystery.

Only For You is the story of two young girls, fearing for their lives and their safety as their university is plagued by a series of mystery attacks on female students, which later escalate to murders.
The first week of the new semester, Everleigh Carsen and her best friend, Sam, decide to take self defence classes to equip themselves as best as possible against the unknown attacker. Of course, the instructor,

I think I'm in the minority. I didn't get this book. The characters didn't speak like they were in their early to mid-twenties (it was too flowery), Everleigh had the so, so overdone obsession with coffee (described about a zillion different, dark, heavenly brew, meaning of life..LOL...whatever, it was a coffee thesaurus-second only to a Gilmore Girls episode), and the banter between characters felt forced. Some characters only existed to throw us off our game, but it wasn't done wel ...more
It took some time... but i loved every word!

This book was for sure an AMAZING surprise, and i wasn't expecting it!=)

I went almost blind to the story, but sometimes that is a huge vantage... you don't know what to expect... but your mind is open to everything!

I don't really use to tell much of a story, I don't think that's my job! What i can tell you is, this book has a bit of everything... it is funny, scary, you have suspense... and of course a beautiful love story! And in every kind, it was

Overall, Genna Rulon’s debut, Only For You, was a well-written and finely-paced New Adult Contemporary Romance with elements of suspense.

There were aspects of this story which I enjoyed and a few which detracted from my reading experience just a bit.  Let’s begin with what I liked.  For a debut author, I felt the technical details of Genna’s writing were very impressive.  The story pacing was good, in general, and her characters came alive quite well.  There are suspense elements in Only For You

Now that's how you write a debut novel!

I found what I was looking for. I found a debut author who not only had a great plot; she had well developed characters, and excellent writing. You know I’m not going to summarize the story. Well sometimes I do because I can’t help it, the review needs it sometimes. This story not so much.

What I really loved about Only For You was that even though set in college, we didn’t have fake id’s, heroines drowning themselves in meaningless sex because they don’t wa

**Received an ARC of Only for You from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Everleigh’s story in Only for You is an excellent read. Thank you so much to Genna Rulon for so sending me such a great story of friendship and love. Many of my favorite books are those where two peoples love grows only after becoming great friends. Only for You is no different. The story starts with our heroine, Everleigh, she attends a self defense class after a series of violent attacks have plagued her univer

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and.....I honestly LOVED everything about this book. I absolutely loved the slow build up of the relationship between Hunter and Everleigh. I loved their banter. You could see they were perfect for each other. I also love a book that has so much angst it make me feel like I want to puke. This sounds bad but it wasn't!! That's considered a good thing to me when I'm reading a book. Trust me. And this book is filled with angst. It also ...more

Well...this was an awesome surprise! If you've been following my reviews lately, you know that I'm pretty much over the whole New Adult Contemporary Romance genre. I was severely annoyed with formulaic writing. When the author sent me an ARC for an honest review, I was a little hesitant to dive back in when I'm still in a self-imposed time-out. So, when I started reading, I was clapping my hands with excitement with the quality of writing and the unique plot. Sure, the characters were in college ...more

A thoroughly captivating story brimming with mystery, angst, humor and romance. An impressive debut novel from Genna Rulon! 4.5 stars!

“It was amazing. Earth shattering, mind blowing, it was everything. I’m hopelessly in love with him and destined to be destroyed in the near future.”

Murder. Seduction. Desire. Friendship. Humor. This book had it all. I was instantly absorbed by the suspense of the story line, pulled in by the wit of our strong and fiesty female protagonist and

For starters this book was great and not what I was expecting at all. I had read somewhere that it had a Travis/Pidge feel to it and that is what I had in my head going into it. I was sooo completely off base. Wherever I read that from is completely wrong. ( of course in my opinion ). As I begin typing this review, it may come across as if I didn't like the book. But, I did. I truly did love it.

An exciting and well-written start to this series with the debut of "Only for You" by Genna Rulon. This little gem was a freebie on Amazon and took me totally by surprise with its intriguing twists and turns. The romance is slow-building but the chemistry is immediate from the start. I really enjoyed this book.

Hunter and Everleigh are both strong and interesting characters; she's finishing up her undergraduate degree and he's a bit older by seven years. The relationship starts off slowly as thes

For those of you that follow me on Facebook, I made a comment on Monday night about a book that I read that is amazing. If you didn’t catch the comment it was…

“Holy shit you guys I just read an amazing book and the review will be up this week!!!! Omg! I’m, I’m, I’m speechless…..”

I know, it was wrong of me not to share the details (title/author), but I felt I needed a moment to absorb the weight of the book and express myself in a way that did justice to how amazing this book is.

*Huge thanks to Genna Rulon for contacting me and giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of this book!

I really enjoyed Only For You! It did two major things I love about books: it made me not want to put it down, and it made me emotional. Overall, it did have a couple flaws, but they could be fixed and I was able to ignore them for the most part. This was really good for the author's first book, and self published at that, and I think she'll get even better in the future. I'll defin

"He told her a story about a man very much like himself and a woman very much like her, and then he waited to learn how the story would end."

I am pleasantly surprised by this book, considering I snatched it for free awhile ago. I devoured it in just a day, hard-to-put-down books are always a good read so it was nice! Reminded me a liiiiiittle bit of Easy but it's really different.

I have to say that this book deals with certain situations that are strong and raw and it really made me think

It was a slow paced book but it did pick up nicely when it was supposed to. I enjoyed the banter between Everleigh and Hunter but I didn't feel like there was a lot of sexual tension between them - well, not the kind that I wanted, that is - there was just enough to keep me interested. As for the writing, I found it really smart and witty - which I always love - but it took me a while to be fully comfortable with some of the dialogue because they almost sounded too smart and formal (?) in my hea ...more
4.5 Stars! This book had friendship, great supporting characters, wanting, longing, suspense, mystery, hot guy, strong & funny heroine, hot guy and its a standalone! Just what I needed. The only reason why it's not a solid 5 was because there were some parts where I felt some of the dialogue was off. However this book is still worth the read. I immediately researched to see when the next book is coming out!

This book was freakin AMAZING!!!! I LOVED IT FROM BEGINNING TO END……This is not a book I would recommend to start reading at 11pm at night and you have to go to work the next day. I could not put the book down. I read it straight into the morning and only got a couple hours of sleep. BUT it was worth it. Everleigh Carsen is the main character and let me tell you she needed the spot light. She is by far one of funniest characters I have ever seen. I have been burnt out by the New Adult genre recently but when I was contacted by Genna Rulon to read and review Only For You, I was intrigued by the synopsis so decided to give it a go and I’m thankful I did, it is a wonderful tale of a beautiful friendship, a compelling romance and an extremely well written mystery, thriller that had me frantically flicking the pages wanting to know what was going to happen.

I selected this book at random from a list of possible blog tour opportunities, looking for something entertaining and intriguing in my current favorite genre - contemporary romance. I was intrigued by the synopsis. There were hints of the themes I crave when I want to lose myself in a story: a bit of mystery, not only in terms of genuine suspense (the escalating attacks on female students); but also in the portrayal of romantic tension -- well-illustrated by the unspoken but obvious attraction ...more
