Odd, but well handled.

In this book, a dog named Ralph believes that he is a boy because he has never seen another dog. The family tries everything to make Ralph realize that he is a dog, and even make him go to school. When he finally realizes that he is a dog, he is happy because he no longer has to go to school. This book is funny, but the pictures are very hard to see. I probably wouldn't read this to my class, but it would be okay to have on a bookshelf for individuals to read.

I didn't read the Japanese edition. My sister read the English edition to me . . . it was a strange little story. It was cute in some ways, but odd in others.
