What kind of man is so patriotic that they would undergo brutal training, live a danger-filled life that is deep black ops? Men like Tom Crocker and his SEAL Team, who are called in when there is no other choice and the mission is impossible. Once again, the Seal Team is called in to rescue a diplomat’s wife and daughter from the hands of Mexican terrorists and narcotics cartel. “Seal Team Six: Hunt the Jackal” finds Tom Crocker, seal team leader of the “black cell” team, trying to rescue the wife and daughter of a U. S. Senator from the clutches of a vengeful Mexican drug lord.

Tom Crocker and his team are called in when a situation looks hopeless. They risk everything in order to get the job done. There are some really evil people in the world and warriors like these are the only thing that stands between us and those who wish to destroy us for their own evil purposes.

SUBJECTIVE REVIEW FOLLOWS:

I just got introduced to Dom Mann, and I can assure you I'll read every other book he's written within the next month. Mann's experience as a SEAL shows through, and his mastery of state of the art weaponry is incredible. The storyline for Hunt the Jackal is excellent, believable and scary. Any action adventure/thriller fan will love this book, and I say that with much assurance. Mann captures the Mitch Rapp and Scot Harvath and brings it home to ass-kicking realism tha

SEAL Team Six: Hunt the Jackal was written by Don Mann. In this book a U.S. Senator's wife and daughter were kidnapped by the Jackal, a Mexican drug lord. Tom Crocker and the members of SEAL team six were sent to Mexico to save the two women. This book is one of the better books that I have read. I would put this book in my top five favorite books. I really enjoyed the book because it was action packed, filled with excitement, and had many interesting plot twists. One thing that I really liked a ...more

Riveting! I didn't put this book down!

The reader is the fly on the shoulder of Crocker as Seal Team Six pursues the leader of a Mexican drug cartel who has kidnapped an influental senator's wife and daughter. National lines are crossed, split-second decisions are made, the latest equipment is used, and politics be damned.

The reader gets a taste of the danger some of our nation's heros walk into on a regular basis, the emotional toll it takes on them and the sacrifices made by their families wh

SEAL Team Six book four, Hunt the Jackal by Don Mann and Ralph Pezzullo hits it really close to home with a fight against a Mexican drug cartel. It was amazing how fast I read through this book, aside from usual mommy duties that take me away from reading, it seemed like I zipped right trough it. It was probably the best one yet, action packed and suspenseful that had me not wanting to put it down. Unlike the other three this didn't really have an extended slow part in the story; it flowed nicel ...more

This was exactly what I needed; quick paced action novel. First time reading this series and I enjoyed it. Well written with enough twists and tense moments to make the book really interesting. I'm going to have to find the other books in this series. Good stuff, Maynard!

There was a time I was a voracious reader of war novels. Then, for some obscure reason, I drifted into other genres and lost my interest. But I’m glad I read “Seal Team Six: Hunt the Jackal.” The excitement returned, the interest in weaponry and its evolution returned, and heroic deeds of brave men once again seemed energizing.

I thank the authors for reviving my interest. Don Mann, the ex-Seal, and Ralph Pezzullo, the writer, have combined their talents into a well conceived and fast paced adven

I found this to be a very fast pace, action-packed and realistic read. The story is filled with politics, drug wars, unethical US policies and danger with everything pointing to greed, truth and trust.

While in Serbia on a mission Captain Crooker loses a few of his men. Due to his choices which at the time he thought was the best and safest place for them they died. Ritchie was due to be married in a few weeks. Crooker felt the guilty and felt he made a bad choice and his friend lost his life. I

SEAL Team Six Chief Warrant Officer Tom Crocker doesn't care about regional politics. Just his mission. He's intense, focused, and bull-headed, but the kind of guy you want on your side.

As Black Cell, the top secret compartmentalized cell at SEAL Team Six, wraps up a mission in Syria to blow up a downed MQ-1B Predator drone before the terrorists purloin it for their own mission, a kidnapping is taking place in Sedona, Arizona.

Seal Team Six: Hunt the Jackal is the fourth in Don Mann’s Seal Team series, but it is the first of his books that I have read. I have, however, read Seal Team Six novels written by another former SEAL. There are some similarities between the stories portrayed by both former SEALS, as well as some differences. After reading Hunt the Jackal, however, I feel like I have a better sense of which parts of the novels may accurately portray SEAL Team Six.

Seal Team Six: Hunt the Jackal by Don Mann and Ralph Pezzullo is one hell of a thrilling ride. This book starts off with Chief Warrant Officer Thomas Crocker in deep doo-doo. He's leading his Black Cell group on a very discreet mission in Syria and the shit really hits the fan. Helicopter down, pilot gone, several soldiers dead and another dying---and Crocker's medical training is needed as much as his ability to lead his team. It's quite a ride and that just introduces the team--the real action ...more

This was a highly entertaining read.
It is a fictional, military thriller that explores a series of special operations of the U.S. Seal Team Six.
The writing is good, the characters are both interesting and multi-dimensional.
There were several Interesting plot twists that served to complicate the teams efforts and added to the excitement of this read. I enjoyed seeing how the team adapted to the new challenges during their mission.
I particularly enjoyed the details used to describe the execution

I received this book from Net Galley for my opinion on this book. This book was written differently then the 3 previously books. The 3 other books were written in only Tom Crockers perspective but this book was written with several different people's perspective. It was interesting to see things from different perspectives and to see what other people were doing at a certain time and which we wouldn't normally know what was going on in their head. This was a sad book to start off with and ended ...more

SOME SPOILERS
Overall the plot of this book was very interesting and was worth reading, but the filler and extra details added a little too much length to the story. The beginning of the story had a nice plot twist with the senators daughter and wife being kidnapped and the purpose for the kidnapping turning out to be for a liver transplant. The issue with the story is the climax is very draw out, it lasts from near the middle of the book to almost the end of the book, and there are multiple clim

Tactical porn at its best. Down to even the brand of pouches used to carry their state-of-the-art weapons and gizmos. Love it. This is my fourth read in this series. I really enjoy these books for the pure entertainment they provide. Short, smartly paced, no nonsense. Just good old-fashioned story telling. -The story itself is not excessively detailed...not too sparse...just the right amount of dialogue.

-The background on the Jackal and reasons for his actions almost makes you empathetic toward him...almost.
-Quick read. I read this in two days.

bullets. This one puts the team into a new environment

display their extensive knowledge and training. I had to

This is the first time I have read any of Mr. Mann, books.
