Taffy was a Welsh rabbit and like all Welsh rabbits, his dream was to watch Wales play England at rugby! But Taffy did not know how he would ever save up enough to buy the ticket! He told his great story to Robin and taught him the importance of working hard for something, and that if you do, you will get what you deserve! Taffy the Rabbit is one part of the lovely series, ...more

I loved it! I read it with my 9 year old and she loved it too! We will definitely be reading more of the Robin's Toys books. What a great way to spend time together!

This book is sweet and inspirational. The toy that comes to life in this book stresses the importance of working towards your goals as best you can. The summer camping trip had been cancelled because the tents were ruined due to being stored improperly after not being cleaned. The boy scouts sell their old toys and games at the car boot sale (trunk sale in American) in order to raise the money needed to replace the ruined camping equipment so that they can still go on their summer camping trip. ...more

I understand that this is one of a number of books in a series and this is the first I have read. In reading it, I was seeking to establish whether it might be suitable reading material for my grandson.

Firstly, the book is well presented and features an easy to read script and appealing line drawings by way of illustrations. As such it has an old-fashioned appeal.

However, insofar as the story itself is concerned, it is a little thin in t

Taffy is a Welsh rabbit with a huge love for rugby. His ambition is to go to a match between Wales and England. In order to achieve his dream, Taffy and his friends work together and start to sell carrot cakes. They save up just enough carrots to afford tickets to the rugby match. The rabbit’s story comes in handy for Robin, as he and his scout group are facing their own problem. They don’t have enough money to go on a summer camp, so the Scouts gather their old toys and games and sell them at t ...more

I wish I was able to give another half star.
The book is a delight, cute illustrations, a fun story, although poor Grandma got the worst of it, and a lesson included.
It tells about valuing your possessions and working for things you value and want.

I liked that it also had a wonderful relationship between a boy and his Grandfather.

The talking rabbit aspect of the book did not enchant me as well as I would have liked, but it is a story I could see reading more than once to younger children.

"Every Toy has a Story to Tell"

How true that is!
Taffy the Rabbit helps to teach a lesson on working together to reach a common goal.

Even though my son is younger than the book is recommended for (7+). We enjoyed learning about Welsh Rabbits and Whales and Rugby.

This book will be a good addition to our collection/library for my son to enjoy in years to come.
We can't wait to read more of this wonderful series.

I enjoyed this book for my children. The story was a little confusing only because I just jumped right into a series. The story itself was cute and educational. The sections are set up so that a child can read it easily and not realize that there is a lesson in the story. Taffy's story is a great way to show kids how to earn what they want and that they can accomplish things when they put their mind to it.
