I liked this book, it was full of interesting facts, affordable, full-colour with lots of illustrations. It really inspires your enthusiasm for playing the instrument. However, its one glaring flaw is that it gives almost no guidance for how to articulate the basic act of getting the shofar to play any desired sound. So, while I understand that playing the shofar means standing up, vibrating my lips rapidly and putting the instrument to the right corner of my mouth ... I can't get mine to sound any more than I could before reading the book. "It's harder than it looks" is obviously the operative proverb here. hehe. I may never be able to accomplish it until an experienced player gives me hands on guidance one day.
