An easy 4 stars for a different type of rock star romance.

When Marissa attends a rock festival with her best friend Olivia, she knew the friends plans were to help her friend get over her ex by crawling in bed with a new man. But when Olivia leaves with the first roadie that catches her eye, Marissa finds herself in a situation that leads to meeting Jack Storm. Lead singer of Jackal. She had no idea who he is, but there is an instant attraction that leads to a couple of romps before they part.

And this one was really adorable.
I only had some issues with the writing and the weird POVs ;)
But it was a really interesting, exciting, adorable, moving romance - can't wait to see what Jack and Marissa will have to tell us in the 2nd book!

Trivia: Jack Who? began as a short story on wattpad written as an entry to a contest sponsored by one of my favorite authors on the site. The story shot to #1 and stayed in the top ten from the first day on through the next month. Readers begged more Jack and Marissa and a full fledged novel was born. I loved writing this book on wattpad. It was like a party as each chapter went

When I first 'picked up' Jack Who, I expected to enjoy it. But boy oh boy I didn't know how much I would enjoy it. To start out, who doesn't love a story about a sexy rock star! Within my first reading session, I squealed aloud like a teenager, got goosebumps, and felt tears in my eyes. I love it when a books starts out like that! Also within the first reading session I fell madly in love with Jack and Marissa and just when I thought I knew what would happen the author surprised me. I love it wh ...more

I think I can honestly say I have never read a romance novel based around rock stars and I am kicking myself for not doing so sooner.

Jack Who was a fantastic read from beginning to end, I loved Marissa and Jack, their story was very heart warming and Tristan was so adorable, I especially enjoyed Jack's scenes with Tristan, they pulled at my heartstrings in a good way. Marissa was a great main character, she had her flaws, especially when it came to Jack Storm, but she learns to deal with her in

This was such an unexpected surprise read for me. I absolutely fell in love with Jack, Marissa, and sweet little Tristan. Such a great great story. I love how Jack immediately felt a connection to Tristian the first time he laid eyes on him in the hospital. I think Jack truly knows that Marissa was not after his money or fame only. Which I'm so glad she is so humble. She is such a great mother too. I love how Tristian and Jack instantly hit it off. I want them so badly to get their happily ever ...more

Jack Who?: Perfect Storms (Silver Strings G, #1) by Lisa Gillis is an exceptional romantic novel full or even bursting with passion in every delicious chapter. The author has mastered this well overdone genre and given it a firm kick in the pants lingerie-wise and come up with a superb winner. I so loved this book with its well-written dialog, catchy theme of girl meets rock star, lusts for rock star, beds rock star then ....

Oh, where to start with this book. I adore this author anyways, and was excited to delve into her first published work! I was not disappointed. I don't read rock star type romances often, but must confess I secretly love them.

This book was curious from the start and I honestly was unsure how I would feel about it. I could not deny that Jack Storm and Marissa Duplei's first steamy encounter in the first chapter pulled me in, but when suddenly a chapter or two later, (and 5 years in story time) t

This was such a refreshing story! I fell hard and fast for Jack. With some of the things he said, you can't help but to love him.

"I don't know why l say the shit I do sometimes. I don't know that guy either. Unfortunately, I have to live with his screw ups. I don't want you to be one of those things I screwed up."

This was a super easy fun read. I am excited to see where the rest of the series brings this story.

I am pretty sure I fell in love with Jack and Marissa by chapter 2. They are both feisty and passionate and say what they think. The writing was fantastic and the author truly made me feel like I was watching the story play out in a movie. I loved all the descriptions! To me, the story was pretty predictable. However, who doesn't love a great love story with a happily ever after??

"Jack Who? (Silver Strings Series G)" by Lisa Gillia is a great romantic read about a rock star and 'regular' woman.
Meeting under unusual circumstances the two have a one night stand but they loose touch. Years later they have business to sort out between them.
The complexities of fame, the real person behind a rockstar image and the possibility of true love are themes that Gillis plays out well in this enjoyable and fast paced story. The book is an easy read and has some great characters, an all

I have to say I was surprised at how well I liked this. This is a new to me author and WOW can she write. I was hooked right at the beginning and read until it ended *insert sad face*. But the good news is she has another book, a continuation of the lives of Jack and Marisa. LOVE IT! It is like visiting old friends, can not wait to read it. You will not be disappointed, maybe a little angry at times wishing they would just TALK to each other already!

At first, this book started out good. I was into it. But then the deeper I got into it, the more of a mess it became.
We start off with Marissa being a good girl who just went through a break up and sleeps with Jack within 10 minutes of meeting him. I can deal. Then she gets pregnant and 5 years later need money for her sons operation. So, here's where it went down hill this girl is obsessed with looking good, the amount of specific food talk was too much! Even the kid comments on it. She does t

The perfect fix for the craving I was having for a good rockstar romance! Imminently more satisfying than the first one I chose last night. I am looking forward to delving further into this series in the very near future.

To me, this one pretty well has it all. Gorgeous rocker stud, sweet, insecure young girl. Ooops, the hookup led to a pregnancy and letting him know is not what she thinks he would want to hear. Fast forward 5 years and her little reminder of her romp on the wildside is in need o

Let me say I loved this book. I am sad that I finished it so soon. Thankfully I can read the next book as soon as I buy it.
Alright back to my review. This was a sweet love story. I loved that their romance started as nothing more than a hook up. It shows the whole love comes in unexpected ways scenario. I loved this book because Marissa is a character I can relate to. She had a bad break up and moved on with her life then she had a random hook up with someone who ended up changing her whole life

Jack Who? kept me up all night! I just downloaded this literary gem yesterday. I only meant to read a few pages to get the flavor of the story and ended up devouring the whole thing. This rockin’ romance was an easy read that drew me in from the first word and locked me in until the last. It takes a ton of hard work and talent to tell a story this smoothly and seamlessly. Throw in a cast of colorful characters, a thrilling hero, a relatable heroine, intense desire, palpable attraction and just t ...more
What i like about this book is that it is real, complete with kid being a kid and a dog to trip over. I LOVE the real dialogue. These two interrupt each others sentences in a fight, they trail off as they are trying to say something but can't find the words. And the same with the scenes. So much like real life. Marissa might be in the middle of a thought and that reminds her of another thought, or the doorbell rings or her son needs to get out of the tub. 5 stars for putting the real in rockstar ...more

So much more than I anticipated!

The first of the G-string series intrigued me, since I'm also writing about celebrity and rock stars. The synopsis was enough to make me buy Jack Who?, but I fell into a highly original storyline within the first few pages and am now halfway through the second book!

Jack's character shows how rock stars are forced to be a little schizo, even if they're basically nice guys. And Marissa has had to grow up quickly and take care of her five-year-old, which means not ex

A sweet romance about second chance love. Characters nicely drawn - not a lot of depth, particularly with Jack, but still well done. No real heat. I liked the development of the relationship between Jack and Mariss but occasionally the pacing a little jumpy. I had some difficulty connecting with Jack but perhaps that will change after reading the next book in the series. All in all, I enjoyed it.

Great story! Characters came across as very real. Despite Jack's fame, he is still a down-to-earth rocker with a heart of gold. Marissa is a strong relatable leading lady. Great chemistry between the couple. I loved the development of the bond between Jack and Tristan. While there was a bit of angst leading into the outcome, ultimately the ending put a smile on my face! Definitely looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Highly recommended for lovers of a Rock Star Romance. ...more

Cute story. Marissa trying to get over her ex stumbles upon Jack Storm behind the scenes at a concert. An instant attraction from both sides leads to a meeting once again years later. Short, quick read. Will have to read the next one to see what their future holds.

Its alright

The characters almost seemed bipolar in that they flipped from being angry to making love in the span of two words. It wasn't realistic and I wasn't impressed with the storyline. I wouldn't recommend buying it.

Jack and Marissa, strangers, have an afternoon delight but exchange numbers. They text a few times in the next few months and then nothing until 3 or is 4 years later.
Interesting start. I kinda liked Ms Gillis’ writing. And who doesn’t like a Rocker Romance?

Super read for anyone young at heart!

Wonderful characters and a real sense of adventure captured in this easy read romance. I loved the determination of Marissa not to get caught up in the rock star life style.

My only complaint is that I now have to go and buy the rest of the books in this fab series! Completely hooked!

I remember when I first read this book back in October 2013 and I fell in love with it. So, when I decided to give it a re-read, I was a little worried that it wasn't going to be as good as I remembered. Needless to say, it was just as good, if not better than I remembered. I do really enjoy the Rock Star genre and this series is pretty high up on my favorites list.

This book will be told through the third person POV of Marissa, our female lead.

The beginning of Jack Who? finds our female lead, Ma
