From a time when there were only three big screen Bonds and the third one looked set to stay in situ until he died of old age. I would have lapped this up in the '90s, when the only online source of Bond info was your fellow nerds on alt.fan.james-bond, and it still had lots of facts and photos that were new to me.
There are many opinions presented as facts ('Goldfinger, one of the best Bond films' and so on), and a few things we wouldn't say today, mostly about women. Definitely one where the author's voice comes through.

Indispensible for all James Bond fans.

Read at beach in the pool. 6/22/14. Book was ok. Early chapters were better than later.
