A well written and moving second chance romance with suspense and is also Christian based. I was pleasantly pleased how the author, whom I have never read before, filled the pages with genuine, likable, yet flawed characters and engaging conversation. The plot was intriguing and kept me turning the pages.

For reasons he never shared, Sloan was a fool to have left the best thing that has ever happened to him, and his heart never let him forget the incredible woman and the relationship they shared

It wasn't until I started reading that I realized that this book was a Christian fiction novel as due to the content it was quite an edgy read. The book starts with our main character Teddy going out on a blind date with her friends as she has finally been cleared and in remission from her breast cancer after she had a mastectomy. Her friends believe this is what she needs to make herself feel beautiful again. Unfortunately, the night will end in disaster and tragedy as the club they picked ends

Beautiful Imperfection by Kathryn J. Bain was so beautify written it brings tears to my eyes. I loved this book so much, I couldn't put it down, it made me laugh, cry, and keep guessing on who was the killer the entire time.

Theodora “Teddy” Federline has suffered a lot, I just love her character, she is so strong, and positive about life, she is a role model for all women. Even though she had breast cancer, and even had one breast removed that doesn't stop Teddy from wanting to testify against t

This story included breast cancer, insecurities, danger, God and faith, doubt, love, and friendship. The heroine has fought cancer and now is fighting a different kind of fight. She witnesses a murder and now has to stay alive long enough to testify. The detective assigned to her case and of keeping her alive is a past love, who broke her heart. He has loved her for years and broke up with her because of a secret he carries. She is angry at him and keeps him at a distance, but their connection a ...more

I never really thought about the healing that has to take place emotionally from having surgery like Teddy's. I never considered that the impact of surviving something as bad as Cancer could be devastating to your normal life. I picture surviving as the HEA. This book taught me the struggle that comes with it. I can't even begin to imagine. While the story on its own was REALLY good, I feel like i came out of this book with even more understanding. I wish someone had said..scary part coming, fin ...more

It’s not often I pick up a book I can’t put down. But this is one of those.
Teddy has been through the wringer before we meet her and she’s not going to get an easy ride here either. Tossed straight into a shooting, she’s determined not to let anything faze her. With the exception of the cop assigned to her case. The one man she could quite happily do without seeing ever again.
Sloan struggles to keep his mind on the job. He has other reasons for wanting to keep Teddy alive and safe, but that be

Teddy witnesses a mass murder and the last person she expects to see is Sloan, a man who dumped her years ago.
Sloan still has feelings for Teddy and Teddy wants no part of him even though he is charged to protect her.
This a beautiful story about a woman fleeing from a murderer and herself.
We see God's love and redemption working in the book.
As usual the suspense keeps us going and a dash of romance is thrown in.
Thanks for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
