Beau Walker doesn't need any more distractions. Sophie, with her butt-ugly suits and balls-to-the-

After losing her job Sophie is given the job as an Assistant to successful Country Singer, Beau, who is fully aware of his attractiveness. A man used to getting everything his own way! Sophie has a way of dealing with the 'Mr Cranky Pants' Beau becomes just before a performance.

In the beginning Beau just sees an annoying commanding 'Serge'. No where near the kind of women he is interested in.

Sophie was dealing with her deadbeat father loan repayments and took the job to clear his debts. Turning

I hated to turn off the Kindle which is why I'm a little bleary-eyed this morning. I stayed up late last night, reading this most excellent addition to the Honky Tonk Hearts series. Each book written by a different author; each story vastly unique. Ms. Crowne's story for this series is an accomplished blend of heart, humor and hero hotness. I devoured every emotion she wrapped with just the right words and placed on the page as a cherished present for her readers. I've read other books by this a ...more

I enjoyed going on Sophie's journey with her. Not just her physical journey from one city to another as the tour moved across the US, but her emotional journey as she realized she was more than just an afterthought. Throughout the book, she gained confidence, bravery, and more patience when dealing with Beau during his mania periods than I ever would have had. I liked how she outmaneuvered him by using his own words and/or foibles against him.

At first, I thought Beau was your stereotypical music

What a sweet story, not a romantic story as both leads were not interested in falling in love.

Beau, hot ripped sensational singer and resident bad boy!

Sophie, 'Old Maid' curvy beautiful unaware of her body and a boring history teacher to boot!

Sophie takes a job as an Assistant to a successful COuntry Singer, who is a bot of a self conceited jerk. A spoilt man who gets everything his own way! Fortunately Sophie sees through this exterior, although not straight away, she does have a way of deali

"A SONG FOR SOPHIE" was such a heart-warming, fun read! It is $3.99 for over 110 pages of a sweet country romance of two completely opposite people. Country singer Beau Walker's sister overhears Sophie Taylor after she's fired from her job... and her boyfriend... and offers her a job as her assistant - which makes her the assistant to the assistant of Beau. Sophie enjoys irritating Beau (it is so easy, after all) and let's it slip to him that she's hoping to find someone while they are out on th ...more

4 1/2 stars.

Sophie Taylor, a laid-off history teacher who, faced with too many bills, accepts an offer of a lifetime. She becomes a temporary assistant to popular country star Beau Walker.

Unfortunately, Beau has a bottled up monster in him the first few days on tour, and doesn’t like anyone to stand in his way. Especially a straight-laced teacher hiding her charms under god-awful business suits.

Though the two butt heads back and forth, it seems a little of what she’s learned dealing with childre

Romantic and hilarious, A Song for Sophie tells about a laid-off and desperate, plain-looking history teacher who took the job as a tour assistant to a gorgeous and famous country singer. Surrounded by amazing side characters, Beau and Sophie’s character developments are interesting and outrageously funny. Mackenzie Crowne’s ability to twist scenarios and pour a huge serving of emotion into them has been further highlighted by the simplicity of its plot. I adore this story for it made me cry mul ...more

A Song for Sophie was one of those books that I could not put down! I read this book in one sitting that is how much I loved it!! Through this book and the beautifully written dialogue I was able to imagine all of the things going on in the story.

This story could be said to be a little bit like a Cinderella story with elements of the country added in. Sophie, the main character is free spirit. She is fun, loving and drop dead gorgeous. Beaumont Walker, is your typical bad-boy singer and is absol

Sweet, quick read. I got this as a free book, and it was a nice gift. Beau is a hot country singer. Sophie is an ordinary if not plain history teacher. Sophie is out of a job and is offered a job on Beau's tour by Beau's sister. Sparks fly and Beau and Sophie have several stand offs. Sophie can give as good as Beau. Sophie is on a mission to find love or at least someone to have a good time with. Beau gets word of this and threatens all of his crew to keep their hands off of Sophie. Needless to ...more
A fun and entertaining story! Sophie Taylor is laid off from her teaching position, with a balloon payment on her dad's house due. She takes a job as assistant to Beaumont Walker, a country music superstar, travelling on tour with him and his band. Sophie is a 26-year-old virgin with an organized and funny personality - Beau nicknames her Serge or Sergeant. She wears ugly, boxy suits, her hair is pulled back in a braid and she doesn't wear make-up. Beau dates tall, slim, models so he is very con ...more

I have to say upfront that cowboys, country music, and honky tonks are not my thing, and for that reason I was a little hesitant to read this. I gave it a shot because I have loved everything else by Mackenzie Crowne. It was a very sweet, easy romance. I think what really stood out for me was that sex scene was not your typical "be very careful of the virgin" sex scene. I liked that Beau didn't treat Sophie like she was so fragile and breakable just because she was a virgin, and that he let her ...more

I really enjoyed this story about a laid off history teacher who becomes an assistant to a country music star while on his latest tour. Sophie's life was going downhill fast when she gets this new job. I loved that even though she had vulnerabilities, she spoke her mind to Beau and didn't let his bad mood intimidate her. These interactions were some of my favorite parts to the book and the ending was so sweet. This was my first read by this author, but I'll be looking for more books she's writte ...more

Enjoyable read, I do like a Cinderella themed book, gets me every time, throw in broody & surly in the form of a cowboy country singer, I'm there!!, it's not a long book, read it in a day, definite read.

Loved it! A very sweet romance with great characters. I just wish it wasn't so short. This could have easily been a full-length romance or even a series.

I enjoyed this sweet romance. The characters are likeable and even though the Sophie is a bit naive, she is fortunately not TSTL like way too many women seem to be in some of the popular romances.

I've spent a good quantity of my week in crawling or stationary traffic, so it's been a good week for e-book clearing out! After a long day I was after something that wasn't too complex and this was in the "200 pages or under" list, so I read it.

It was a cute story though I honestly thought it was going to go very wrong not too far in. And by horribly wrong I mean be a terrible book. Why? Because of how Sophie was first described

I devoured this book in one sitting. Mackenzie Crowne is one of my must-read authors so I knew I was in for a great story, but if I'd known just how good it was, I'd have ordered dinner in! There is nothing worse than being dragged from a wonderful story to deal to reality. How inconsiderate can hungry people be?!

Beau Walker was not immediately likeable - in fact, he was downright arrogant and selfish. But then, we were given glimpses of who he really was beneath the tour nerves and just like So

Niedliche kleine Love-story.

A Song for Sophie is an amazing and fun love story. Beau and Sophie are characters who don't always do everything right, but I fell in love with them immediately and was sorry to say goodbye to them when it was over. Ms. Crowne has crafted a story that tugs on the emotions, makes you laugh, and has you smiling right along with the characters at the happily-ever-after.

I loved, loved, loved Ms. Crowne's That Dating Thing, but I have to say A Song for Sophie may be my new favorite!
