I don't actually plan on doing a review for this one, but since I'm bored...

Here goes... (I'll just keep it short)

The preface/prologue for this book was so damn good, I was like: HOLY SHIT! I can already sense that this is going to be a great read. But, as the story went on, I lost interest.

I got bored and skipped a lot of parts. I just read the MC's convos (which are also too cheesy for my taste, it makes me want to barf.)

But still, I tell myself to finish reading it 'cause maybe the ending's

Overall this was a very long and disappointing read for me. I found the writing choppy and at times hard to follow. Too many unnecessary and wordy comparisons bog down this story rather than enrich it. The characters lacked depth and came across more cliche than real. Finally the storyline was absurd. So many ridiculous things happened that the end result was more comical than anything else. I'm sorry I honestly don't like to give bad reviews and have only given a handful to date. Having said th ...more

Really struggled with this book, it's rare I don't finish a book but sadly this was one of those. Loved the idea of the book but found the style of writing and over embellishment and grammar/editing problems got tiresome and I ended up skimming. When that happens I DNF.
So 1* for the cover and 1 for the idea of the book. Could have been brilliant.

This book is alright, definitely categorized as a light, beach read. I felt like there wasn't much character development. The entire book was just about sex, sex, and sex. That's all Kendall and Cruise ever thought about. Such a simple story. Cruise fell in love with Kendall so quickly, I don't even know why really. He kept saying how she was so different from Blair, but really, how did you know? I just didn't fall in love with the characters. Even though it's written in both POV, I just didn't ...more

I love these types stories. I was excited to read this cute contemporary romance.
I liked Kendall (some of her lines at the beginning made me laugh) and I liked Cruise (he was just a good person) and I liked the premise of the story (I seek out these types of stories in YA books). However, somewhere at 65%, it lost me. I can’t put my finger on it. Cruise has some history with an ex-girlfriend that comes back to stir some trouble, but that part did not bother me. I am reader who likes when an ex c

This story of a young girl who is going to learn her sexuality by getting lessons from the town playboy just didn't feel right. Sure it was funny at times and there was a LOT of tension between many of the characters. But as I kept reading trying to figure just who these characters were and where this story is going, it got more unrealistic to me. I muddled through just to say I finished it...but very unsatisfied. I just didn't connect with either Kenny or Cruise...and when the reader can't rela ...more

Flat characters and flawed story lines. Like a college professor could date and live with a student in his class. He can pose nude in her Art class? Just unbelievable from the first chapter and goes downhill fast.

A 20 yr old Kendall transfers in to an East coast college from the West coast a couple days before Christmas thinking a friend of hers has secured her a dorm room. Because dorms are open over winter break, yeah. When she finds that didn't happen at the frat party she immediately went to

Cruise and Kendall just didn't feel real to me. I think the crux of my problem with this story was that Cruise's POV didn't feel like a guy's...it sounded like another girl to me. Do guys really feel and think like that? I honestly don't think so. Some other issues I had:(view spoiler) ...more

Meh.... not the greatest in my opinion. I didn't like that the ssynopsis was really nothing like what the story was. I thought they both fell WAY too easily for the other. Where was the fight? you would think that two people who dint believe in love would have done out and sowed more oats to prove they weren't in love but we got none of that.
I did love Kendalls wit. A few of the things she said or thoought had me laughing out loud.
And the language.... extremely wordy, a little too descriptive (

This book was all kinds of wrong! I struggled to even finish it! Cruises pov was horrible there is no guy on this earth that thinks the way she portrayed it half the time I couldn't remember If I was reading his or Kenny's pov. There were parts of the story just left for chapters that left me wondering what the hell happened, and it was way too wordy for me. All in all I did not care for this book!

I use to like Addison Moore and her other series but eventually they became too predictable and boring. I decided not to judge on my past experience and since this novel is in a new genre, to read it with an opened mind. However I don't think it did what it was suppose to do. This novel was once again similar to the others, all too predictable I'm afraid. While it's not a bad novel, it's not the type of novel I easy fall in love with. It was just okay for me.

i downright love addison moore's "celestra" series. she is a gifted storyteller when it comes to setting the scene and the details involved with it. however, this book seemed like several scenes put together without proper segues. i felt there was a lot lacking to the story as well as depth of characters - i almost had to force myself through it. would i recommend this particular book? sadly, no, but i am waiting for the celestra book 8 to make its appearance.

Hmmm. Don't really know what to say about this book. It could have used a lot of editing. It was riddled with grammar and spelling errors. But it was a quick, fun read. I liked Cruise, but Kendall annoyed me a bit. I get that she wanted to protect herself, but the premise that revolved around the two of them was hurried and not fleshed out.

The first chapter made me think this was going to be a good story. Witty commentary by the MC, great prose and some interesting characters. However the following chapters failed to deliver what the first set up. All the metaphors and snark grew tiresome to read. the only reason I finished this book was because my OCD wouldn't let me not finish it and I had a long car ride so ... there it is

Eh. I don't see what all the fuss is about. The writing is rough and choppy and the characters were flat. The instant attraction and trust (why on Earth would you go live with someone you just met?) were kind of baffling and the whole 'I want to learn how to be a player' thing were very thin.

I'm only 10% in and I'm exhausted wrangling through the prose and personifications and metaphors and.... It feels like the author just got her BA in English and she wants to make sure she's putting it to good use. Makes for very cumbersome and slow reading.

the characters were way too immature and for a couple so in forever-love, they really didn't communicate or know anything about each other. it drove me crazy that every sentence of this book had a sexual innuendo, even if they were talking about the weather, and I disliked the non-stop, extremely descriptive writing.

Someone to Love, by Addison Moore just didn't do it for me. When the story began, both main characters came on way too strong in a way that made me consider flouncing the book. I continued reading with the hope that both were putting up fronts, and they were, thank goodness. I liked Cruise well enough once he stopped acting like a walking penis. Kendall came off as very naïve, and I think she was, so I expected some mistakes from her, but I had trouble with her character inconsistencies. (view s ...more

When Kendall shows up at a Garrison College sorority party her first night in town, Cruise is instantly interested. However, Cruise is a player and a relationship isn't in the cards for him and Kendall is a virgin so sleeping around isn't in her comfort zone. When Kendall asks Cruise to teacher her how to be a player, he says yes and invites her to stay with him since Kendall is currently homeless. What happens afterwards is confusion, misunderstandings, annoyance and eventually love.

Basically...

1/4 of book: Has so much potential. Characters are typical of what you can find in a lot of YA. Never mind! If the writing is good sometimes I can just go with the flow.

2/4 of book: What is wrong with the main characters? They are supposed to be 21/24 but sure has the logic and emotional capacity of 12/13 years old. (view spoiler)

I really wanted to like this book and rate it higher because I feel like there was a lot of awesome potential here, but unfortunately, it did not work for me. I can definitely see how a lot of readers liked it, but for me, this was difficult to finish.

Our hero in this book is definitely a hottie and a smart one at that, which makes him even yummier and our two main characters have a lot of steam, which is also a check plus for me. Unfortunately, there was a good deal of not-so-great in this boo

Oh my GOD. This is terrible. I'm only at 46/278 and already I'm considering just quitting it. It's incredibly boring, Cruise and Kendall were like two love-struck horny teenagers. They both think of nothing else and Cruise, who supposedly can't keep his dick in vis trousers and has sex every night, is just about to explode whenever Kendall is near. Also, his thoughts are like those of a 80-year-old tragic poet, not a college playboy.
And this, the writing, is what is this book's undoing. You jus

Sigh....I had high hopes for this one and have read many of Addison's books...but alas I give it a 2

Just so predictable and come oh what man acts and talks that way???? He was almost whiny. I happen to be a fan of Addison's lengthy adjective analogies. They are down right poetic, perplexing and sometimes corny but this book I found her talking wwwwwaaaayyy out there just to fill pages.

BUT the humor I could have given it a ten! There were times I would be reading in public and literally laugh out

I picked this one up, because I have read Addison Moore's young adult series, and really enjoyed them. I definitely did not fall in love with this one. It's been a little while since I read this one, and I had to skim through it to remember what it's about. So obviously it did not leave a lasting impression on me.

The idea I thought was interesting, but it fell flat. I did not connect with the characters, and I found our hero, Cruise to sound more like the girl in the story then our MC, Kendall
