This is a BAD BOOK. No seriously, it's so bad. Do not spend the money. I got through 10 pages and that is ONLY because the writing is so colossally bad that I wanted to copy lines to send to my friends for a laugh. SO BAD.

I just couldn't keep reading. The heroine is a hormonal mess of lust, she gets into the car with a complete stranger, stays at his place and after one glance she's already dreaming HEAs. God save me from half-witted idiots.

The characters were unrealistic, with barely any character development. I really don't know why they were involved with each other. Their relationship was just bizarre.

And the overuse of adjectives drove me nuts. Everything was so descriptive that it became difficult to follow the storyline. And the adjectives used didn't make sense. I was extremly shocked when i saw all of this reviews, and my opinion was so different .-. I mean im a pretty easy pleaser but i guess this one wasn't my type..
Okay, the story starts with a virgin who after 0.3 nanoseconds of meeting a manwhore , moves in with him due to lack of having somewhere to stay because he gave over the responsibility to a person she knows nothing about , then our brilliant main character decides to change all she believes in and become a whore to match his personality. I was extremly shocked when i saw all of this reviews, and my opinion was so different .-. I mean im a pretty easy pleaser but i guess this one wasn't my type..

Not only did i found this plot twisted in way that it rushed through a story line that could've been possible turning it into something that just does not make sense but this book was sexiest to a extreme that makes me mad. Yes. Do understand there are occasions in which having an alpha male is totally sweet but there is a fine line between that and an unhealthy behavior. Because this was what it was. UNHEALTHY BEHAVIOR.

The living arrangement (she staid there without giving p so much as a penny after less than an hour knowing him , and this measure of time its not exaggerated) , the sexual encounters ("get on your knees" , "unzip it with your mouth" , the chains and taking her everywhere as if she were a dog.... Etc) , their normal conversations and just their behavior.

They did not know each other, they broke caused for this guy to be expelled and revoked a great possibility of his future without so much of a but then saying that he was just going to manage the business and whatever , and they had a interwined family in so many messy ways that was just not normal.

There were so many points that could have been addressed, such as learning how to solve your situation independently, empowerment of woman, learning to wait while in a relationship, not giving up your values for anyone unless you believe is the right thing to do for yourself , the "daddy issues" , more SAFE SEX (because our little darling is going all rough in the sexual aspect yet knows nothing about a safe sex life, lies about it and its all good after) , and simply learning how to be in a healthier relationship.

To me this book was not realistic, disappointing , sexist and plainly boring.

I quit. After about 40% of the book, I just couldn't do it anymore. The writing was over the top fanciful and the analogies were just driving me crazy. I didn't connect with either character and I expected a bit more angst from both characters given that neither believes in love.

I enjoyed the first several books in Ms. Moore's other series (although towards the end of that series I had to hang it up as well).

I'm actually suprised I finished...

This book was ridiculous and it felt like it went on forever! The writing style was torture. There were so many awkward analogies and over exagerated desciriptions. I seriously felt like gagging!

Really, sometimes simplicity is the best way to go. A thesaurus is great but it shouldn't be over used either...makes it seems very obvious that the writer is trying too hard. The desriptions- Dear God!- I was rolling my eyes half the time and skimmi Ugh! JUST, UGH!

The entire book is riddled with cheesy, awkward, and attempted poetic descriptions and it doesn't fit together at all! I found myself zoning out more than a few times.

Right now, I'd just like to state that there is no depth to Kendall and Cruise's relationship- none what so ever! 90 percent of scenes with them are all sex. This wouldn't be a big deal except that the whole concept of this book is supposed to hinge on the fact that these two people are going to find love. Sex is a form of love, sure, but it isn't everything. They really do come off as fuck buddies in some strangely warped fairytale they created for themselves.

Kendall and Cruise have both been persuaded against love for one reason or another- Kendall has witnessed her mother's 5 divorces and Cruise was burned by an ex- yet, 2 short months after meeting one another, they are engaged to one another and professing forever. Anyone else find that just a tad unrealistic given they've never really had any serious discussion about their lives?

I couldn't take this seriously because this is not how reasonably well adjusted relationships play out. No relationship is perfect but the ones that survive are based on more than sex. Everything about their relationship screams superficial.

I will admit that there were some witty lines and banter which is why I persisted in finishing but most of that disappears half way through the book after Kendall and Cruise become a couple. Their dynamic changes and instead of the fun, random banter, it's all sex or angsty love professions.

The story premis itself is unoriginal and extremely predictable. If the author would have been more concise with her writing and stuck to a more natural flow instead of over exaggerating the situations and description, the story might have been salvagable despite the predictability of the story. However, this is one of the few books I could safely delete from my Nook and never think twice about it. ...more

1. There was no build-up to the relationship. The synopsis on the back cover made it sound like there would be sass and flirting and CHEMISTRY, for Pete's sake. There was none of that. Instead, they met and instantly wanted to be with each other. The part about Kendall trying to be a female version of Cruise? Nope, nada. There was nothing of that. Both of these peopl This was bad. The only reason I kept reading it was because I never give up on a book. Now I wish I had. Here were the main issues:
1. There was no build-up to the relationship. The synopsis on the back cover made it sound like there would be sass and flirting and CHEMISTRY, for Pete's sake. There was none of that. Instead, they met and instantly wanted to be with each other. The part about Kendall trying to be a female version of Cruise? Nope, nada. There was nothing of that. Both of these people are supposed to have jaded opinions on love and be resistant to the idea of it at all, but both of them cave relatively quickly. Kendall proclaims to her entire class that she thinks love is a farce created by the bridal and greeting card industries, but then ten minutes later has a meltdown in Cruise's arms and decides that she can accept love.
2. Cruise's insistence on nick naming Kendall Kenny. I'm sorry, Kenny is NOT a unisex name. Never in my life have I known of or heard of a female named Kenny. It's just not cute for a female nickname. It sounds like a puppy or a baby. If the author really wanted to have Cruise give Kendall a cute nickname based in her name then give her a name that better lends itself to that.
3. There were no repercussions to a student/teacher relationship until the very end. (And Cruise being offered a full teaching position as a grad student...PUH-LEASE) They had sex pretty much everywhere, including eye-sex DURING class, and they flaunt their relationship pretty openly. You expect me to believe that none of the other students in that class had a problem with it?!
4. There was nothing to these characters other than the fact that they were in love with each other. Cruise's messed up relationship with his dad and Kendall's with her mom were NOT addressed. They each have like two friendships but the only thing they discuss with said friends is their feelings for each other. They don't talk about school, families, life, ANYTHING. Everything they think about ultimately spirals back to thoughts of the other person. On that note...
5. NOBODY THINKS LIKE THIS!!! Every other thing Cruise contemplates are Kendall's lips, whether they be bee-stung, pillowy, sweet, delicious or bow-tie. Kendall thinks of nothing but Cruise's abs and how lucky she is that he wants her and how he makes her feel all these things and like a fire burning through her life and OHMYGOD SHUTTHEHELLUP!!!!
6. One, relatively minor, point of contention is also the fact that after he proposes, they have sex on the snow. Um no, I don't think so. I don't care how in love you are, you could be an Eskimo and you aren't going to be able to strip down and do it on some snow. I mean, sure, you could probably do it, but you aren't going to enjoy it as much as these two did.
7. The book was excessively wordy. I realize the hypocrisy of this, considering the length of my review, but it was overly descriptive and wordy to the point that half of the book could easily have been removed. There's only so many times that someone can read about how handsome Cruise is or how Kendall is a beauty compared to no other (when we never really get a good physical description of either of them).

There were some good points:
1. Kendall was realistically sore after the first one or two times they had sex.
2. Cruise didn't immediately believe Blair when she tried to talk shit about Kendall, props to him.

The premise was good, but ultimately this book fell wayyyyyy short. One star. ...more

Maybe 1.5... I won this book in a Goodreads First Reads giveaway, but I’m sorry to say that I wasn’t a big fan :( I had A LOT of problems with the story overall and didn’t care for it much in the end. This is probably why it took me SO long to read this book (and even longer to review it)! And I had a really hard time finishing it--I ended up skimming a lot of the book just to get through :(

Overall, this book is pretty trashy, vulgar, and ridiculous. BUT, I did think the descriptive language of Maybe 1.5... I won this book in a Goodreads First Reads giveaway, but I’m sorry to say that I wasn’t a big fan :( I had A LOT of problems with the story overall and didn’t care for it much in the end. This is probably why it took me SO long to read this book (and even longer to review it)! And I had a really hard time finishing it--I ended up skimming a lot of the book just to get through :(

Overall, this book is pretty trashy, vulgar, and ridiculous. BUT, I did think the descriptive language of Kendall’s internal monologue regarding the other characters was amusingly caustic and outright hilarious at times (though I’m not sure this was always intentional). I found her descriptions of Aunt Jackie, etc. to be hysterical! So, there were a few LOL moments--especially early on in the book. BUT, along with that, much of the descriptive language regarding scenery, weather, etc. and the related metaphors seemed REALLY over-the-top and not anything a real person would think--let alone BOTH of the main characters (since this language permeated both of the POV’s). It’s weirdly out of place and tries to be overly poetic (and NOT in a good way!). I also thought that it seemed incredibly inconsistent that Kendall would be SO virginal/innocent, yet have such a vulgar, jaded, and “experienced” inner dialogue, discussions with other characters, sarcasm, etc., (view spoiler)!

And, the insta-love is ridiculous! Both characters go from supposedly being SO jaded and disillusioned with “love” at the beginning, to being instantly “in true love” with the other within just a few pages. And, I hated that a lot of this initial infatuation was largely “told” and not “shown.” I also found Cruise’s behavior to be SO ridiculous and inappropriate (and inconsiderate!), given that he (view spoiler). What an awesome guy to have a long-term relationship with (*insert A LOT of sarcasm here*)!

I did appreciate some of the honest messages given about sex ((view spoiler)), not to mention her initial (view spoiler). But, I have to mention that I HATED that Cruise continued to (view spoiler) :( JERK!

This book contains A LOT of graphic sexual content--I ended up having to skim quite a bit :( It also has A LOT of vulgar language and mature conversations/dialogue. I would NEVER recommend this book for young teens!! It’s definitely more appropriate for an older, more mature audience, if any at all.

I couldn't wait to finish this book. I didn't like it at all.

The plot was rushed. The characters were not developed. It was as if they were dependent on each other for the story to work. The characters were nothing without each other, which is totally unrealistic. The main characters meet and fall in love within a day. Kendall moves in with a man she barely knows. It's all too far fetched.

I had to make myself finish this one.
It was aaawwwwful!, torture!!!
It was as if the author wanted to make it sound smart by using all this big words that real people don't use but instead it was stupid and a little pretentious.
The whole plot was so very very predictable, nothing remotely interesting.
The characters were the worst!, the behaved like children, Kenny is so immature she needs to go back to high school for a few more years instead of thinking of getting married and having babies.

I read this book because I liked some of the other books I've read from Addison Moore.
But this book wasnt her best!
The heroine went from being a virgin who was scared to see a penis, to someone who liked public sex and blow jobs!
On top of that, the heroine, Kenny, was really dramatic! Her inner dialog was a jumble of unrealistic thoughts that seemed were placed to try to spice up the book but all it did was make me roll my eyes!

I really tried to read this book. However, after the preface and into the first chapter, I was revolted enough to just say I cannot read this trashy book. I was hoping it was better. Couldn't finish this book. It was so over-the-top. Literally every time it's from Cruise's perspective, it's him gushing about how Kendall is a goddess. The writing and the characters were not very well developed, and the plot was predictable as anything. Also, Kenny made me want to throw something numerous times while reading this. She's just so damn naive, and Cruise? There's no way a boy like him would ever exist. Nope, sorry.

Good lord. I deleted this from my kindle at just about 10% of the way in. Trite characterizations, dumb as hell descriptions.. "all vixen and hell on heels". Yeah. NO. I couldn't summon any interest in the lead characters as they appeared to have been lobotomized.

This is a far cry from what I'd want to read as "New Adult" - This book offers nothing compared to the likes of Easy, Something Like Normal or Sea of Tranquility.

What I DID read was overwritten, the hero's voice was NOTHING like how a guy would actually talk, and the way they end up striking their deal was just so far beyond plausible. I was really disappointed, because from the blurb, this sounds like a story I'd usually enjoy.

The story was good but not executed properly. It did not have any pace and it did not make any sense to me. Boy and girl meet and sparks fly; she has some problem with her fiance; stays with the other boy etc etc. The story was boring and not that original. The characters also seemed dull to me. DNF'ed it. :/
