This is a BAD BOOK. No seriously, it's so bad. Do not spend the money. I got through 10 pages and that is ONLY because the writing is so colossally bad that I wanted to copy lines to send to my friends for a laugh. SO BAD.
Here is the very first sentence for your enjoyment: "It was that season in my life, the coming of age of the woman inside me who longed to know the secrets of the universe - those potent with lust and desire - the very thing that harnessed a sexual frenzy and drove humanity al

Dnf about 20% into the book.

I just couldn't keep reading. The heroine is a hormonal mess of lust, she gets into the car with a complete stranger, stays at his place and after one glance she's already dreaming HEAs. God save me from half-witted idiots.

The hero is another hormonal mess to match the heroine, he invites an unknown girl to stay with him after knowing her for two hours(and I don't mean sleep, I mean that he invites her to stay at his place), and he already dreams of her as pregnant an

DNF at 15%

The characters were unrealistic, with barely any character development. I really don't know why they were involved with each other. Their relationship was just bizarre.

And the overuse of adjectives drove me nuts. Everything was so descriptive that it became difficult to follow the storyline. And the adjectives used didn't make sense. For example, "he drinks me in with a fondling gaze, undressing me with those blue cellophane eyes." WTF is a fondling gaze and why would you describe blue

I finish. I finish! Round of applause please for my courage to force myself through this book.

Ugh. UGH. UGGGH.

Do not even bother to read this book. Seriously. I think something's wrong with me.. I didn't read the blurb and this is what I get! (I am that stressed at school lol) This book can cause your eyes to hurt from rolling them so much. This also could result in intense migraines.

Wrong things about this book:

1. The first meeting, emphasis on first, the girl went home with the guy she barely

I was extremly shocked when i saw all of this reviews, and my opinion was so different .-. I mean im a pretty easy pleaser but i guess this one wasn't my type..
Okay, the story starts with a virgin who after 0.3 nanoseconds of meeting a manwhore , moves in with him due to lack of having somewhere to stay because he gave over the responsibility to a person she knows nothing about , then our brilliant main character decides to change all she believes in and become a whore to match his personality.

I quit. After about 40% of the book, I just couldn't do it anymore. The writing was over the top fanciful and the analogies were just driving me crazy. I didn't connect with either character and I expected a bit more angst from both characters given that neither believes in love.

I enjoyed the first several books in Ms. Moore's other series (although towards the end of that series I had to hang it up as well).

There was just something off with this book. The characters didn't feel like they conn

Ugh! JUST, UGH!

I'm actually suprised I finished...

This book was ridiculous and it felt like it went on forever! The writing style was torture. There were so many awkward analogies and over exagerated desciriptions. I seriously felt like gagging!

Really, sometimes simplicity is the best way to go. A thesaurus is great but it shouldn't be over used either...makes it seems very obvious that the writer is trying too hard. The desriptions- Dear God!- I was rolling my eyes half the time and skimmi

This is one of those times where I wish I could stop reading a book before I finish it. The intro was terrible, and the rest of the book was a caricature of a romance novel. It threw in every cliché.

Maybe 1.5... I won this book in a Goodreads First Reads giveaway, but I’m sorry to say that I wasn’t a big fan :( I had A LOT of problems with the story overall and didn’t care for it much in the end. This is probably why it took me SO long to read this book (and even longer to review it)! And I had a really hard time finishing it--I ended up skimming a lot of the book just to get through :(

Overall, this book is pretty trashy, vulgar, and ridiculous. BUT, I did think the descriptive language of

DNF (last page 50). I promised myself I would give this book 100 pages to impress me, but by page 50, I already wanted to bang my head against the wall meaning for the sake of my sanity and in respect to the author, it was time to quit. Thus, this review is of the first 50 pgs and the trajectory the story was going in within that allotted time.

I feel like every YA / New adult romance I pick up is the EXACT same story with the EXACT same characters with different names. So unoriginal and UNREALISTIC. I am SO, so, so very tired of reading about playboys that have women throwing themselves at the man. There always is a scene where the heroine witnesses 3-10 females fawning all over the guy (to indicate his player status). This bothers me every single time because not one time in my life have I ever seen women draped and fawning over a ma ...more

Not sure why this book got such great ratings. It was about two people falling in love with overactive hormones. The characters were unrealistic, with barely any character development. Kendall tells strangers about the most intimate details of her sex life. Cruise is a graduate TA, having reckless sex with Kendal all over campus, whenever Kendall wants it. No big deal that he has a promising career, a fellowship paying for school, and a bright future. The whole thing is stupid and unreal because ...more

I'll admit it. I quit the book after … chapter 2? Usually I never quit a book. Like ever. I like to stick it out even though the book is horrible. I really like the other books Addison Moore has written but this one… no. I was just disappointed. I read the synopsis to see what it was about and it caught my eye . I was dying to read it. And then when I started I was like "Hmm. Okay not so bad." But when I got to the part where … ugh… I can't even say it without ruining for you guys who do want to ...more

I... I just can't do this right now. I understand author is NYTimes bestseller... but...

Okay, this is first line from Cruise's POV:
"The moon glows overhead clear as a streetlamp, making the clouds look like black paper cutouts against the navy expanse."

description

Who says things like that? This kind of writing is not for New Adult. New Adult is supposed to be about good ol' fuc*ing, and not describing Mother Nature (okay- bad line here). Point is- I just can't... There's couple of others down, in status u

I couldn't wait to finish this book. I didn't like it at all.

The plot was rushed. The characters were not developed. It was as if they were dependent on each other for the story to work. The characters were nothing without each other, which is totally unrealistic. The main characters meet and fall in love within a day. Kendall moves in with a man she barely knows. It's all too far fetched.

My main qualm is that the characters only existed for the other. Cruise was expelled and didn't give it a s

I had to make myself finish this one.
It was aaawwwwful!, torture!!!
It was as if the author wanted to make it sound smart by using all this big words that real people don't use but instead it was stupid and a little pretentious.
The whole plot was so very very predictable, nothing remotely interesting.
The characters were the worst!, the behaved like children, Kenny is so immature she needs to go back to high school for a few more years instead of thinking of getting married and having babies.

I was really looking forward to this book but struggled to finish it. I found the story confusing and couldn't figure out what the goals of Kendall (Kenny) and Cruise were. It seemed like they kept changing and I couldn't keep up. Minor characters were introduced in a way that made you expect them to play a bigger part in the story than they did. Situations were described so you anticipated them having a big impact on the story but later on would be briefly mentioned in a "wrap this up" kind of ...more

I read this book because I liked some of the other books I've read from Addison Moore.
But this book wasnt her best!
The heroine went from being a virgin who was scared to see a penis, to someone who liked public sex and blow jobs!
On top of that, the heroine, Kenny, was really dramatic! Her inner dialog was a jumble of unrealistic thoughts that seemed were placed to try to spice up the book but all it did was make me roll my eyes!

I really tried to read this book. However, after the preface and into the first chapter, I was revolted enough to just say I cannot read this trashy book. I was hoping it was better. If I had read the reviews prior to requesting the book, I would not have even asked to read it. No recommendations here! I will admit that it was a free book and I try to read and give an honest review on any I receive to be fair to the Author. Sorry!!! Just can't read this one.

Couldn't finish this book. It was so over-the-top. Literally every time it's from Cruise's perspective, it's him gushing about how Kendall is a goddess. The writing and the characters were not very well developed, and the plot was predictable as anything. Also, Kenny made me want to throw something numerous times while reading this. She's just so damn naive, and Cruise? There's no way a boy like him would ever exist. Nope, sorry.

Good lord. I deleted this from my kindle at just about 10% of the way in. Trite characterizations, dumb as hell descriptions.. "all vixen and hell on heels". Yeah. NO. I couldn't summon any interest in the lead characters as they appeared to have been lobotomized.

This is a far cry from what I'd want to read as "New Adult" - This book offers nothing compared to the likes of Easy, Something Like Normal or Sea of Tranquility.

I couldn't even make it past chapter 3. What I DID read was overwritten, the hero's voice was NOTHING like how a guy would actually talk, and the way they end up striking their deal was just so far beyond plausible. I was really disappointed, because from the blurb, this sounds like a story I'd usually enjoy.

No, just no.

Everything was so cliched to the point of making me puke. Cliches do work sometimes, but this is definitely not one of those situations. To make things worse, the plot is ridiculous and plagued by this "love heals all" theme. How is this even a NYT bestseller!? NO.

NO. NO. NO. NO. NO.

Awful, cliched saccharine from beginning to end. Seemed like there were 10 plot twists that started to get set up, then died immediate, pointless deaths. Dim-witted, unbelieveable characters who I couldn't root for in any way. Underdeveloped, cruelly derided supporting characters. All in all, horrible. I'm angry at myself for finishing it.

it was stupid. the book, its plot, its themes and every other related thing in it. the characters were a little better then i expected them to be not that there are many in the book any ways it was stupid like i said BEFORE.

So I liked the description and decided to give this book a try.
The story was good but not executed properly. It did not have any pace and it did not make any sense to me. Boy and girl meet and sparks fly; she has some problem with her fiance; stays with the other boy etc etc. The story was boring and not that original. The characters also seemed dull to me. DNF'ed it. :/
