A sparkling story from the Queen of Ro-magic comedy!

Aspiring actress Anna Hilford might only have a small role in a leading television drama, but she longs to be dreamboat Karl Drake’s leading lady. Sick of being loveless and overlooked, Anna seeks the help of intuitive love coach, Lulu, from to give her the courage and determination to follow her des

I’ve kinda gotten hooked on Juliet Madison’s ‘ro-magic’ (romance and magic) novellas – they’re like something I have to read regularly to get my reading fix. Starstruck in Seattle is a beautiful story that you will want to read in one sitting.

The plot is quite simple – Anna is an actress on a medical drama in Seattle (no, not the one you’re thinking of) and she’s written to Lulu the Love Angel asking for romantic help. Apparently her soul mate’s name begins with the letter K and Anna’s wondering

I absolutely love the idea behind this story and Juliet Madison pulled it off without a hitch. An engaging, fun, flirty read!

This is not the first novella by Juliet Madison that I have read. Few weeks ago I read and reviewed I Dream of Johnny (Read my review here) and as you can see I really really enjoyed it. Naturally, I was thrilled to get an arc of 'Starstruck in Seattle' from NetGalley and I won't lie - I had high expectations.

I'm not the biggest fan of novellas, because either

Starstruck in Seattle is an enjoyable romantic comedy short story that I just couldn't put down. One of the longer novellas I've read but every page was a turner and kept me wanting to read more about Anna and who her Mister Right was. Although this story was at times predictable, I didn't mind that as the writing style was so lively and snappy that you weren't 100% sure what was going to happen next.

Anna is a girl just starting out within acting and seeking love. She has the biggest crush on K

*I got this from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. In no way did winning this novella effect my review or rating in anyway.*

This was a cute if very mediocre story. The idea of there being a group of angels that are matchmakers is nothing new but it is a cute idea. Truth be told this book reminded me of a Hallmark Movie. Cute and Sweetly happy to the point that is gave me a toothache. But in defense of the book it never promised to be otherwise. I need more character depth and the chara

Short and sweet!
I won a free copy of 'Starstruck in Seattle' on Facebook and couldn't wait to read it. The cover really spoke to me, as did the short blurb.
The first chapter already had me wanting more and chuckling to myself. I like romance books that are sweet and funny, and SIS is both. Though I guessed early on how the story was going to end, it was a joy to read because of all the little twists. Seeing things from the intervening angel's point of view added to the hilarity of the situation

This is a lightweight but enjoyable enough story about an actress who is starstruck over the leading man in the soapy she acts in and totally doesn't notice the real guy right in front of her. I guess that is pretty normal though I found her obsession with a psychic telling her the name of her hero starts with K a little irritating.

I got the feeling this might be the start of a series because of Lulu, an angel in training, who spent most of her time trying to get the heroine back on track. It ga

The problem with wowing your audience with an amazing book is your readers will expect that kind of writing and story from you all the time. Having loved Fast Forward and liked I Dream of Johnny, I was a tad disappointed with this one. I liked it, but not near as much.

As Ms. Madison has been dubbed the "Queen of RoMagic Comedy"...I expected to laugh out loud more than once. I did with Fast Foward, numerous times. I didn't find anything funny about this one though. It's cute, don't get me wrong;

To sum this story up, I’d say it’s a cheesy, cute, modern day fairy tale. Yes, it’s a little bit cheesy in places, but heavy on the cute so it works. While this is a novella, it’s the third story I’ve read of Juliet’s and she has yet to disappoint. This story had a much different feel from the other two I read from her, but I still very much enjoyed it. She even added in a little fantasy element with Lulu the Love Angel. It made me think of some of Debbie Macomber’s Christmas stories.

Anna Hilford spends her days sighing over dreamboat actor Karl Drake. She doesn't have much time left to work with him and while she's hesitant to approach him, Lulu, her guide from The Love Angel tells her to go for it. While Anna is trying to get the ball rolling with Karl, Lulu is trying to get Anna to meet her soul mate.

I'm not really a big fan of books with magic but have been slowly warming up to them. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this novella. It's short but my favorite person in

After I read (and loved!) Juliet Madison's February or Forever last year I couldn't wait to pick up another story by her. I had my struggels to get into the novella at first. I put it aside, let it rest for a while and I picked it up again. I'm glad I did. I really liked it in the end. Starstruck in Seattle is a really enjoyable novella packed with great characters, fun, love and magical moments. I recommend this to anyone who loves a sweet romance and happy ever afters. This was a very lovely read. Lulu's "role" in this story came very unexpected to me. I'm not sure I really liked it, but luckily it didn't chance the fact that I enjoyed reading this novella.
Although I found it pretty obvious from the start that Anna was being a (starstruck) fool, I'm glad she ended up realizing that herself... but I think she might have done so even without Lulu's help.
But who can blame her, really

This was the first Juliet Madison story I've read and it won't be the last! It's a fun and enjoyable romantic romp with great characters, particularly the mischievous Lulu. She's so much fun! The ending is cleverly done and leaves you with a nicely satisfying warm feeling. I just wished it was longer. ...more
