He won’t lose her.

Skye is the one weapon that can be used against Trace—his only vulnerability. But he won’t let her go—he can’t. Trace will do anything necessary to protect Skye. Anything. 4 WHODUNNIT STARS!!!

We catch up with Trace and Skye, the threat to Skye's life has been eliminated and Trace finally has Skye where he has always wanted her; in his bed with his ring on her finger.

Skye feels safe, it's been years since she's been able to feel so at ease, and only one man could ever make her feel this way, Trace.

But a threat from Trace's past seems hell bent on dashing their dreams, someone is out to hurt Trace in the worst possible way. This person is systematically taking away everything that has ever meant anything to Trace. His biggest fear is that this person will take the one thing that would break him, Skye.

As the deaths become more frequent and the threat to Skye's life more imminent, Trace and Skye race against time. Trying to expose the culprit before he obliterates their existence.

But along the way, long forgotten secrets are revealed and new truths revealed.

My Thoughts

Yep, Cynthia Eden had me guessing till the end! I mean I had my list of suspects but I had no clue, I mean you have to read this yourself to understand the extent of the suspense and mystery that has been doled out in spades in this book!!! Just read it!

This is the second book in Cynthia Eden's Mine series. I loved it! There was suspense, mystery, and of course lots of steam between Skye and Trace. Skye is recovering from being kidnapped by her stalker in the first book. Trace is still keeping secrets from Skye and she wants all or nothing but can he give that to her?

Trace's dark past is coming back for revenge and it is putting Skye's life in danger. He will do anything to keep her safe. His love for Skye and intense and all consuming.

She's marked him in ways that went far beneath the skin.

"Have you ever wanted something so much...so badly...but you were afraid you'd destroy that one thing if you actually took it?"

I can't wait for the next book in this series. I am hooked!

4 I did not see that ending coming Stars

You were my dream, when I was in a nightmare.

When I read and loved Mine to Take, I wasn't aware that the author was planning a second book for Trace and Skye. I was skeptical about reading this book since I wasn't sure what more could possibly be told of the couple. But I gave in because I was curious to learn more about the mysterious Trace and also because I have yet to read a Cynthia Eden book I haven't enjoyed. Mine To Keep was certainly no exception.

Mine To Keep starts off exactly where Mine to Take left off. Skye is still recovering after being held captive by her crazy ex-lover. She's still hunted by nightmares and she is beginning to see that she is not the only one. While she may have been in love with Trace since she was a teenager, she is beginning to realize that she barely knows him. Trace hides nightmares of his own, and his past is a dark shadow that threatens to overtake their current happiness. But not all things stay in the past, and when something from his past threatens his future, Trace knows there isn't anything that he won't do in order to protect Skye.

If there is one thing that Cynthia Eden is good at, it's writing one hell of a Romantic Suspense. Every time I thought I knew what was coming, she would yank the rug right out from under me. Mine to Keep was a spine tingling suspense filled with so many twists and turns, that it will keep you at the very edge of your seat until the last page. But let's not forget the steam, because well...I like me my steam. This book was damn hot.

Trace was just as delicious as he was in book one. He's arrogant, fiercely protective, and broody. Which is a winning combination for me.

I loved Skye and Trace's relationship. While it wasn't perfect, there were moments that just melted my heart.
"I never understood how you could spin that fast, that much without getting dizzy."

"It's easy, I just look at you. You're my center. My focus. For every spin, a ballerina needs a focus."

We get to find out about Trace's past and his time in the military. Although from all the build up, I was expecting something much worse than what it turned out to be.

I also really enjoyed how Skye came into her own in this book. Even though she loves Trace, she knew her limits to what she will be able to accept, and she wasn't scared about drawing that line.

What ultimately made this a solid 4 stars for me was the suspense. As much as I thought I knew what was coming, it caught me by complete and utter surprise. And even then there were still more twists. No it wasn't quite a 5 star book, only because I felt that I had gotten my fill of Trace and Skye in book one, and felt that it could have been just one longer book as opposed to 2. And while I doubt it would be a book I would re-read, I still enjoyed it thoroughly.

We were also introduced to 2 men from Trace's military past, Drake and Noah. While I am enjoying the delicious golden eyed Noah right now in Mine to Hold, I really hope that we get a book for Drake. There is just something about a broken man that gets to me, and Drake is all sorts of broken, broody and dark.

Much more thorough and multi-layered than book one. Mine to Take focused basically on how Skye and Trace met, how they come to be together again, and all of the crazy that happened to Skye during their ten year estrangement. This one focuses more on Trace and his haunted and bloody past.

I felt like the first part of this book was very melodramatic, very much a soap opera. It was all super duper intense, and any time a scene ended, I kept expecting a dramatic pause before a fade to black. This was the part where Eden reiterates how OBSESSED these two are with each other. They've been OBSESSED since they were sixteen, and their obsession carried them through the years. Not to mention the many sex scenes in which Skye has to practically beg Trace to fuck her harder. Poor Trace, he was just too gentle a lover. Skye wanted him to lose control. And while I got tired of this scenario quickly, I can admit that when this guy does finally let go, I was all about Cynthia Eden's now trademark scorching hot sex scenes. If there's something memorable about her books, that would be the steam and the intensity. She does it well.

Once the scene is set, and the plot for THIS book comes into play, my interest was held much better. Trace has some crazies from his equally crazy past pop up. True to CE's whodunnit style, this villain comes out of nowhere. I still think that there was almost TOO much intensity. Lots of death...LOTS. Many grievous injuries and close calls. But there is a setup of the next book or two, and I will most definitely be reading that one. I only recently discovered Cynthia Eden but I feel sure that I will soak up all of her romantic suspense.

***4 Sex, Lies and Loyalty Stars***

"Have you ever wanted something so much...so badly...but you were afraid you'd destroy that one thing if you actually took it?"

Mine to Keep continues the story of Skye and Trace and picks up about a month after the events of Mine to Take. Skye is trying to recover from her kidnapping and Trace is trying to figure out how to walk the fine line of control when it comes to his love for Skye. He's afraid she's too delicate after what she'd been through, whereas Skye only really needs him. She wants Trace....ALL OF HIM.

Trace is still hiding things from his past....a past tainted by blood, death and betrayal. He doesn't want Skye anywhere near that part of his history....but the past is catching up to Trace. Can he shield Skye from the ugliness? Will she still look at him the same once she knows the truth? Can he protect her from the demons that have reared their ugly heads and are threatening to take away the only thing that matters most to him?

"You have your nightmares. I have mine."

I think my favorite thing about this book is Skye's quiet strength. She was a survivor. A delicate woman in stature, but unbreakable in spirit. She wasn't going to allow Trace to keep his secrets and keep her too. She needed into his life, all the way in...and she wasn't settling for anything less. Through her steely determination and unyielding love she was able to show Trace that together they're stronger....they could take on anything...NO SECRETS. NO LIES.

"I never understood how you could spin that fast, that much, without getting dizzy."

"It's easy. I just look at you. You're my center. My focus. For every spin, a ballerina needs a focus."

But Trace's past is gaining on them fast. Someone is looking for revenge, for blood...for Trace's destruction. And they know his one undeniable weakness....Skye.

"I made a mistake. A stupid mistake. I took you with me. Fuck me, I took you. Your picture. I needed it, Skye. I needed you. But I should have left you behind, because by taking it, they knew my weaknesses. They knew that hurting you would break me."

Trying to put this puzzle together had me guessing almost up until the big reveal. Just when you thought you knew what was happening and who to trust, Cynthia Eden would flip the script and spin you around. Trace and Skye's journey was filled with strength, passion, love and trust. Both were able to discover and show just how far they'd go for the other. There were no boundaries when it came to them...in neither what they'd share nor what they'd do.

"I was seventeen, and you destroyed me for everyone else."

I've become a big fan of this series and of Cynthia Eden's writing and I can't wait to see what happens with Noah and Claire.

Spoilers and bitter rant ahead!!!!!

I'm so bitterly disappointed and sad, I demand this author do a rewrite of this story (kidding! Kinda) Trace should've made it onto my BBF shelf, his utter devotion to Skye was everything I always hope to find in a romance but then I got - they've all been you in the dark, and when the sun rose he couldn't get away from them fast enough -(paraphrasing) what in the ever loving hell is that bs?????I just don't get it! He carried her picture to war with him, his enemies and friends alike knew she was his weakness, his will stated that the bulk of his fortune would go to her, he had guards to keep her safe even during the time apart yet I'm to believe that even though he loved her oh so very very much he came back to the country, knew she was dating the choreographer and then he proceeded to f**k any woman he pleased? Dating them, ending up in the newspapers with them, feeling guilty(his own words) for sleeping with them yet he continued until she came to him for help???? What the ever living f#*=#%#&$@%"&&**$#%& is this? The way Trace loved her in this book his dumbass should've been celibate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That and only that is the reason why I'm rating this book low again. The writing was fantastic, the romance (present day) was fantastic, the secondary characters were fantastic, the suspense was fantastic but the sleeping with others ruined what could've been a truly EPIC love! Skye also ,after having sex with Trace told him that each of her lovers was him in the dark. I want to slap them both till my hands grow numb!!!!! I wish I could delete all references to sleeping with other ppl then I'd come back and rate this book 5 stars but since I CAN'T yet another 2 stars that seriously could've been 5!!!! After many, many glasses of wine I'm moving on to Noah's story and he'd better not mess with me with any dumbass behavior!😭😑

"It's you and me. Us. Forever. No secrets and no lies."

This book, oh my gawd, this book was amazing!!! I can remember reading the first book and just being blown away. I had no clue until my GR friend Vika, alerted me that there now was another book to the series. I had to fit it in as soon as possible, and wow, I'm so glad I did. IT WAS AMAZING!!!

"You were my dream when I was in a nightmare."

I feel like I can't say a whole lot about the book because I don't want to give anything away. I will say at times I trusted no one. Even the people I wanted to trust, had me suspicious. I felt bad in the end for some of the people I suspected but hey, they had their reasons. It was one heck of a crazy ride that I had to force myself to put down to sleep, lol.

I highly highly recommend this book. It has everything. HOT sex scenes, for which most of my GR friends appreciate, a storyline that keeps you drawn in from the very beginning, and lots of danger and suspense, and a hot possessive alpha male. Read this, but make sure you read the book before it or you will be lost. :)

Mine to Keep is book two in the Mine series. Book one introduces Sky and Trace and gives up some background information about them. In book one Sky believes she is being followed, but no one believes her. She is forced to look for help in a man she left long ago.

When Skye walks back into Trace's world, he's not about to let her go again. Trace agrees to help her and they fall back onto their old relationship quickly. They must find her stalker and he must answer to her why he left her ten long years ago.

Mine to Keep picks up right where book one left off. This edition takes us even deeper into Trace's past and his time in the military. Trace prefers to keep his past buried, but when Skye is threatened all bets are off.

Skye is opening a ballet studio and she is going to rebuild her career in dance. She may not be in the spotlight but she is doing what she loves. Skye finds the perfect studio and with Trace's help they get it ready for her students. Sky still bears the scars from her tragic car accident that ended her career. She is still suffering nightmares from her trauma (in book one). Trace vows to keep her safe always.

The sexual chemistry between Sky and Trace is palpable. When they come together, Trace becomes almost feral in his intensity. He is afraid of hurting Skye, but she likes his wild side. She is not as fragile as he believes her to be. Trace frequently reminds her who she belongs to during their rough sessions. "Mine..."-Trace

"I've never been afraid of the darkness that you carried. Because inside, I've got that same darkness. I think...I think I just hid it better then you." -Skye

As Trace and Skye's pasts both come back to haunt them, things get a little dark and scary. There is a killer on the loose and the police are struggling to wrap the case up. Things get a little intense when possible betrayal is in the mix.

Trace must figure out who is tormenting Skye and hope that he figures it out in time. There are lots of possibilities but the calling cards lead to someone long since buried. In this game, they can trust no one. At times they aren't even sure if they can trust each other.

This book had me freaking out! Cynthia Eden is a master mind when it comes to romantic suspense. She has the Midas touch. I had never read the genre before picking up one of her books and I am hooked. She brings scorching chemistry to life and weaves a tale of mystery and suspense that sucks you in and makes you want to scream.

There are LOTS of twists and turns in this book. I re-read book one to help remember what happened. While it isn't necessary it would be really helpful to know their history. We meet some new characters in this book and I am loving them. I can not wait to read about Noah!!!!!

This was a five star read for me. It was solid and well crafted. I like my books nice and steamy and this one fit the bill. Trace is just the right balance of Alpha male and swoon worthy romantic. He has his issues, but I still loved him. Skye is also working through her issues and she is struggling to find her identity. She discovers a few unsavory things that Trace has been hiding and she discovers just how far she would go to protect those she loves.

"I've been yours since I was fifteen." The truth was there between them. They had no room for pretense. "I just had to wait for us to be together again."- Skye

If you are a fan of romantic suspense, then you have to read this. Well done Cynthia Eden!

Spoilers included related to book one (Mine to Take) you have been warned!

So Skye has been rescued by Trace. They have uncovered just who has been watching her and they are set to have their happily ever after, right? Wrong. Just when they put Skye's demons to rest, Trace's come to knock down the door. The only problem is, we don't know enough about Trace's past to even begin to piece together who could be after him.

As they return from a mini-vacation to allow the press to die down after Skye's abduction, a man appears from Trace's past. A man that has faced the same darkness he has. But this man isn't here to harm Trace, he's here to warn him. A past isn't always left behind when you spent years of your life destroying others. Sometimes those who you have destroyed just lurk in the darkness waiting to get their vengeance. Sometimes those people only strike, once you have shown the world your cards - given them a glimpse at something you have that finally matters. Something they can take away from you in order to destroy you. A weakness. A woman that you love more than your own life.

Enter the players. The men that share the secrets of Trace's path are brought back into the circle. After all if the past is chasing Trace down - the men that share in that darkness are at risk too. But just who is behind the threats and the deaths? Who is pulling the strings to ensure that Trace is left vulnerable and Skye is made an easy target?

Just like in book one, my mind raced with the need to figure it all out before the author revealed it. I doubted everyone's innocence. Everyone was a suspect. With each piece of his past revealed it clouded your judgement and your instincts. I think I changed my mind a thousand times as to what the hell was going on.

And the ending. Shit, I was left with a few pages and the chance of a happily ever after was getting further and further away with every word I devoured. I could not put this one down, I seriously tried to but with so many questions still left unanswered I just could not help myself and I had to finish it.

Cynthia Eden created a fantastic suspenseful romance, and even gave us a darker more alpha side to Trace who finally lets go of some of his control when it comes to Skye. The sexy-time was a bit more intense in this than in Mine to Take, but could have been just a little bit hotter.

I am now going to be impatiently waiting for the third book to see just what Mr. Noah York has up his sleeve.

My god was that an awesome continuation to the series. Honestly didn't even know that it was going to continue.

Story continues right after Mine to Take. In previous book we explored the dangers of Skye's past... in this one is even a more thrilling ride because Trace's past is coming after him now.

This series is amazing because you have no idea who is a bad guy or good guy and you learn to NEVER drop your guard down.

The read is fast paced with lots of adrenaline and amazing hot scenes.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I jumped into this book without having read the first one. But I don't think it affected my enjoyment or rating of this book.

This book starts with Skye Sullivan recovering from a brutal attack in the last book, that has still left her psychologically and emotionally battered.

Trace Weston, the billionaire and Skye's lover, is a strong, loyal, loving and obsessive character. He is loathe to let Skye, go for even a moment, and this puts some strain in their relationship.

I loved the interaction between the hero and heroine. I enjoyed the fact that the heroine is cool-headed and strong. She refuses to let Trace dictate her love. Together the change for each other and realise that they would do anything, anything at all, to save the other.

The plot itself, was a secondary enjoyment for me. I focused more on the characters than the plot. Although, I totally knew who the villain was, a good bit before it became obvious.

This novel had a good mix of romance and suspense. I would recommend it to anyone who loves either genre.

Seriously I want to sum this whole book up with one word:TRACE
Joe Manganiello photo: Joe Manganiello 6a00d83451c17f69e20120a75f571b970b-800wi.jpg

But since when are one word reviews fun?
Oh How I love that man. He is dark, intense, has secrets, will rock your world and buy you diamonds!! And on top of that the only person he has eyes for is Skye. He has been watching out for her for the last ten years even when he knew he couldn't have her he watched out for her, SWOON...

But Skye, Skye doesn't like knowing that she is being caged in by Trace and that while he was physically absent from her for the last 10 years , he still had her guarded.
gilded cage photo: Gilded Cage Sm GildedCage-1.jpg
Trace has some serious enemies and because she is the one reason he keeps going, she is also the greatest loss to him and his empire. Skye drove me nuts when she would not let the whole protection thing go from her time apart from Trace. She found it so awful and just would not shut up about it! DROVE ME INSANE.... Trace, baby, you can secretly watch over me anytime.

Throughout this book, we get to hear more about Trace's past during his military and early business days and of the time when they had their greatest loss and had a team member turn on them. We get more characters revealed in this book, Noah, Drake, Ben, etc. and it starts to get crazy!!

The whole last half of the book when they were discussing prior missions all I had in my head was...
Expendables photo: The Expendables!!!!! 40994_1512811790540_7603118_n.jpg

I seriously, couldn't put two and two together and for the love of GOD- that hospital SCENE..

In my opinion Cynthia Eden is a romantic suspense diva! I really liked Mine to Take, but Mine to Keep was awesome. I love a book that can keep my on the edge of my seat and second guessing every single character. I love an author that can twist the plot and story to screw your mind up...thinking that you have it nailed only to be completely wrong! That is a damn good read!

This book picks up after Trace has successfully rescued Skye from her psycho ex and now they are trying to move on, only now Trace's past has come back to threaten the bliss this couple is looking for. Trace's secret Black Op's life and the tragedies he has seen is beginning to overtake his lifestyle and the many enemies he has are all suspect. How do you keep the woman you love safe when you do not know who is the threat?

I was a bit skeptical with Skye in book one, but she is great in book 2. I love that she is exactly what Trace needs and she presents stronger than ever! Well, Everyone knows I love a bad ass alpha so Trace Weston was no problem for me...but I found myself loving Trace's old Black Ops members Noah and Drake...I cannot wait for their reads! If you are a fan of suspense with a bit psycho and some good heat, you will enjoy the hell out of this, but please read Mine to Take 1st!!!!

The initial part of this book was a bit meh for me with Trace being all mysterious and cagey and Skye letting him get away with it. However, as the book progressed Skye grew a back-bone and started demanding the truth and transparency and Trace gave it to her, about his past, special ops work and who is coming after them now. We also meet Noah, Drake people from his past and Claire who I am sure is gonna be set up with Noah. All in all despite the whole I'll kill for you obsessive thing, this book had a plot and was about more than the sex.

The second book in Cynthia Eden's Mine series. The story continues from the previous book. Skye and Trace are back, getting on with their lives after they almost died. Now trouble seems to be coming for Trace and Skye may be used to get to him.

Lots of twists and turns. I had my suspicions on who the villain was but I didn't know for sure until the end. The story doesn't end with a cliffhanger (Thank God!) but it does get us ready for the next book in the series. I would certainly recommend this series.

Mine to Keep carries on Trace and Skye's story where this time, Trace is the one who has someone after him. This one carried all the suspense, mystery and heat of the first story, however this time we meet new characters who have their own books in this series. My only reason for not giving this a full five stars was that some of the things the guys did really didn't fit a top security firm. Even I knew some things which happened didn't add up or seemed amateur, but it was still an enjoyable read. Suspenseful, full of action and and a great continuation to Trace and Skye's story. I would definitely recommend to fans of romantic suspense.

"It's you and me. Us. Forever. No secrets and no lies."

Wow! The sequel to Mine to Take was as incredible as the first one!

Skye and Trace are trying to move on. Ever since Skye's abduction, things haven't been easy for them, but if there's a thing they both know is that together they can get past anything. Skye is ready to bury the past and face the future with Trace at her side, but what she doesn't know is that the past can't always stay buried!

Trace has been hiding things from her. Keeping Skye safe is his top priority! When Skye discovers one of Trace's secrets she can't but feel betrayed. Has Trace made the right decision by hidding the past or will the past cost him their future???

His only weakness is her and his enemies know it.

I really love the way Cynthia writes. She's such a talented author and knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat! There are so many twists to this book that, you may think you know what is going to happen but it happens exactly the opposite. That's one of the things I liked about it.

The other thing, were the secondary characters.Let me just tell you that it was so hard not to suspect everyone! In this book we get to know Reese "better", we see Alex in action and we meet some new characters (some of which I TOTALLY loved). I can't say HOW MUCH I LOVED Claire and Noah. They both had horrible pasts and yet they managed to survive and come to be two strong characters! They were trully amazing and I can't wait to read their story Mine to Hold coming out in October. Here's one of my favouite scenes:

"You're the grief - stricken sister that I'm supposed to be watching? I thought you needed a guard. No one told me you were so....Violent." - Noah

I highly recommend this book!

*Note: This book isn't a stand-alone! Before reading it make sure you read the first book in the series, Mine to Take .

"The love that they had would keep them strong. Through whatever came in the future."

Another romance suspense story that thrilled me start till end. The story continues from what Mine to Take leaves us. There are improvements of H/h that I really like. The story was not more on Trace's past that hunted him. There a lot of suspense, action, new characters that you will surely love and steamy scene that makes me squirm in my seat. The story got my attention from start. Both Trace and Skye past hunting them and want to hurt them bad. Trace only wants to protect and keep Skye safe even from his past, he tried to keep his past hidden to her.

"There are some things that you're better off not knowing"

But Skye have different in mind. She was determined to be Trace no matter what darkest secret he have. I love how Skye redeemed herself in this book. She was not the same weak heroine like in book one. She wanted Trace to realize that she will be by his side forever.

"It's you and me. Us. Forever. No secrets and no lies."

"Good and bad. Everything in between."

The author did well making my mind working all throughout my read. I was trying to figured out who's the killer but again, I failed to know. Everyone seems to be a possible suspect. The connection of each plot was well delivered.

Why not 5 star? Well the ending was a bit lack of what I'm expecting. After that intense and gut wrenching read, I need something that soothe me. But still it was amazing story if you feel like full of suspense romance.

Wow! I absolutely loved this book! I don't think I realized at the end of Mine to Take that there was going to be another book but man, I am freaking pleased there was. This book was a page turner from the beginning until the end. The perfect blend of Romance and Suspense. I was on the edge of my seat the entire book. This is a brilliant who done it, I had no idea who to trust, who was good or bad or what was going to happen next. Perfection. The first book was Skye's story but this was full on Trace. We learned about his past this time and everything he would do to protect Skye from it. I loved Trace in the first book and well, I loved him ten times more in this one. What a perfect alpha male. Skye got to be so much stronger in this one. We got to see inside her and what SHE would do for him just as we were seeing the lengths he would go for her. Trace has so many secrets but Skye will not let him keep them. Honesty is all she will take, she needs all of him. They were a team and will always be a team. The chemistry between Skye and Trace is just off the charts. Love of a lifetime that is scorching and so sweetly romantic. Again, perfection. Quite a few new players this time around and I am pleased to see that two of them are up next for their own book. I can't freaking wait! I could have used one more chapter or at least an epilogue but that isn't taking any of the stars away. I loved this book.

Mine To Keep starts a few weeks after the previous novella ended. And exactly like the first, the story moves around obsession.

If Mine To Take centered around two men's obsession with a woman, Mine to Keep is about revenge, and lies. Here obsession is the name of the game for all characters. Trace and Skye obsession for each others, the stalkers/killers from the past are obsessed with revenge, then there's someone obsessed with greed, an other with justice and someone else still with guilt.

As you can imagine this book can be pretty intense :) But if you think Trace was creepy before, just wait to read this book and you'll see "creepy"... I found the leading couple at times perfectly balances (in their furious love for each other), at times quite the opposite (Skye does seem weak willed compared with his intensity). But the story does involve Skye's growth, her moving from victim to survivor. (And she's not the only one.)

I can't say this is the kind of books I love (and I didn't like this that much, too unreal for me), but it's Ms Eden's strength that she compels me to go beyond my usual tastes.

Mine to Keep
4 Stars

Mine to Keep picks up where Mine to Take left off with Skye recovering from the attack perpetrated by her stalker and trying to cope with Trace's overprotective instincts. When a colleague from Trace's past arrives with a dire warning and the bodies start piling up, Trace will have to decide whether or not to trust Skye with his secrets or risk losing her forever ...

An excellent continuation of the series with a gripping suspense plot and a steamy romance. The mystery surrounding Trace's last operation is compelling with a twist at the end that caught me completely by surprise. My one small nitpick concerns the manner in which the good guys cope with the villains - too much talking and not enough shooting.

Trace and Skye are a likable couple that one cannot help rooting for. Nevertheless, their intimacy feels forced at times perhaps because their initial romance occurred in the previous book and there in no real conflict between them.

The newly introduced secondary characters are interesting and I look forward to reading Noah and Drake's stories.

Sweet Jesus, Cynthia Eden sure knows how to put together a romantic suspense novel. There are so many twists and turns in this book I think I passed myself a couple of times.

I only post spoiler free reviews, but so much happens in this book anything I say could possibly be a spoiler, so I am not going to say anything. Just Know this. I loved it, I devoured this book in an afternoon, some of the twists I saw coming, most of them I didn't.

Another positive for this book, is the introduction of two more Badasses I wanna know more about Noah and Drake mmm mmm!

My only wish, Trace took the time to take his clothes off more....Read the book you'll know what I mean.

CANNOT wait for Noah & Claire's story, if it's as good as the previous Mine books I know I am not going to be disappointed.

Skye Sullivan had been to hell and back but the man that saved her life twice Trace Weston has his own dark secrets. The problem is will he be able to tell her everything she wants to know without her leaving him?
WOW this book had me holding my breath waiting to know what was happening! I love Romantic Suspense novels and Cynthia Eden is a pro at writing them. I love how I didn’t truly know who the killer was until the end, and I was surprised. You don’t need to read the first book to know what is happening because everything is explained in this book, but it doesn’t hurt to read Mine to Take. Now Oct needs to come faster so I can read book 3!

A sensual, thrilling, fast-paced romantic suspense novel and a perfect follow-up to Mine to Take, the first book in this series. This is a continuation of Trace and Skye's story and it ends with a happy ending, no cliffhanger. The additional characters made the story even more interesting and I'm definitely looking forward to the rest of the series!

Cynthia Eden is self publishing done right…absolutely, can’t tell the difference, awesomely right! I often feel that when I sit down to write a review for a book she has written that I never say anything different. It’s always “I loved this book”, ” This was so good”, “Why do I have to wait for more”. Because every single book, no matter the road to publication, is always top notch, a forever keeper and something I want to tell everyone about.

Due to an overwhelming reader voice wanting more from Trace & Skye, Mine To Keep was born. They captured readers attention with their all consuming passion and had them all panting for more. Myself included. I loved Trace in book one and his over the top, alpha-hole protectiveness where Skye was concerned. Some people didn’t but I have a huge soft spot for a man who puts up such a huge front in order to cover his fear for a womans safety. To love that much and sacrifice anything to ensure his woman is not put in harms way.

I was really surprised reading this one how much Eden managed to branch out the story line. She brings in new secondary characters with ease and makes the reader invested in their stories. Makes us want MORE from these men who seem to walk the line of darkness and the women who will eventually be their light. Introducing us to Noah and Drake (men from Trace’s past) and cementing my return to this series. Each man has their own faults but they are heroic, passionate and loyal.

Trace and Skye once again battle an unknown assailant bent on harming Skye, but this time it has everything to do with Trace’s dark past. His involvement in a black ops type team and a mission gone very wrong. Eden builds the tension with the ease of the seasoned writer that she is. I waffled back in forth throughout the book in who I thought was behind the vicious attacks on Skye’s life. I never quite knew what to expect and was very surprised by the ending. Skye makes it clear to Trace she’s not as fragile as he seems to believe. She tries again and again to get him to confide in her. To realize she is more than the obstacles she has overcome. He really struggles with letting her in but in the face of her ultimatum, knows he has no choice. That crumbling of his walls, when he finally lets her into his life…that is the part I yearn for. The part that makes me sigh in contentment. The part that Eden excels at.

The only negative thing I can say about this one was that Trace’s narrative voice got a but repetitive. He’s so obsessed with Skye and protecting her from the threats that are looming. He’s constantly thinking about how he can’t live without her, how much he loves her and what he would do for her. I wanted to scream at him to show her. Prove to her how much you love her by letting her in.

Mine To Keep is an excellent romantic suspense book. Brimming with emotion, mystery and action, Eden weaves readers a tale that they won’t be able to put down! I will never tire of Eden’s voice. Book three comes out in just a few weeks…why does that seem like FOREVER????

I give Mine To Keep by Cynthia Eden 4.75 stars!

Skye and Trace are back making another appearance in Mine to Keep after a riveting performance in Mine to Take. I’m pretty sure that this series will focus on two other main characters as it continues to play out. But it was good that Skye and Trace got this story because there were some loose ends that definitely need to be wrapped up.

One of those loose ends was Trace’s past. In Mine to Take, it was Skye’s past that came back to bit them on the ass. In Mine to Keep, Trace’s past was front and center in the drama unfolding in their lives.

I knew going into this book that I like these two characters. That they had GREAT chemistry, plus an entwined past and some demons that they needed to excise. So there wasn’t any of the angst I get reading a story about whether I’m gonna like the hero or the heroine. If the author made one too weak or whinny or in some other way portrayed them with characteristics I find annoying. Nope, I KNEW I liked these two and I like reading about them.

I also expected that once it was Trace’s past coming back to haunt them, that it would be about his time in the military- when he was away from Skye. Trace really didn’t want Skye to know about that part of his life. He wasn’t exactly proud of that period. But crazy was finding them and that very crazy made sure Skye knew exactly what Trace didn’t want her to know. What I didn’t expect was the twist that came. Surprised the hell out of me. Cause I thought I knew who the bad guy was. I was wrong.

Now, reading a story- a romantic suspense- is about the only time I will say this and mean it. I LOVE when I am wrong. It means the author did her job and did it well.

Give me any book to read from Cynthia Eden, and even before reading I know I would love what I'm going to read it.

I'm glad that in this book continues the story of Trace and Sky.
In the previous book " Mine to Take",we learn more about past of Sky and her life at the time when she and Trace were separated, but in the end of the book you also want to know more about the past of Trace, because we have only glimpses of his past and the time in the military.
In this book we finally finding out about his past, and also we see what happens with them after the end of the first book.

I'm must admit I did not expect what has occurred and who was the real killer,Cynthia Eden write so fabulous, that you suspect in everything and everybody around Sky and Trace, expect for some people.

And :)

This was one hell of ride, from the beggining to the end,Cynthia Eden always managed to give us one of the best books, and this book is not exception!

10 Brilliant and Phenomenal Stars!

Wow. Just Wow. This was one page turning, who done it, romantic suspense. In MINE TO TAKE you learn about Skye Sullivan and her past and how Trace Weston will do ANYTHING to keep her safe. Only just weeks after the ordeal that Skye had to endure at the end of MINE TO TAKE does MINE TO KEEP begin. In this installment, you get to learn about Trace's past and all that comes with the alpha male who guts what he wants. The hurt, betrayal, death and secrets. Oh there are lots of secrets. Secrets that Trace wants burried. They have been for 5 years until his past shows up and threatens not only him, but Skye as well. Now, Trace has to rely on his old "friends" to help him figure out who is threatening Skye and who is framing him for the murders that occurring to his associates. He's got a detective that is determined to see him guilty, a blood thirsty killer, a fiancee who wants to know every secret about his past and frankly who can he trust?

I loved book 1, but I think this one was even better. I absolutely could not put this down and just when I thought I knew who the murderer was ... another spin another murder.
