This volume is perhaps the most comprehensive work on prayer and meditation to date written exclusively for 12-step people who want more from their recovery than simply not drinking. It should be read and practiced by people everywhere and of every type - not just 12-step devotees.
Tom R. is a sober member of Alcoholics Anonymous and Cocaine Anonymous. He has been actively enjoying prayer and meditation for over 40 years. Since 2007, he has lead retreats, workshops, and Step 11 groups for 12-step communities in Washington, California and Colorado and finally got off his butt and wrote this book. He is an author, painter, potter, musician, and songwriter. He loves people, travel, sponsoring, laughter, reading, and living in Colorado near his daughters, their husbands, and Tom's three grandchildren.
Step 11, as revealed in the subject matter in the chapters of this book, was a life transforming experience. From my perspective, recovery literature has few examples or guides on this pivotal step. Until now. I would highly recommend this book and the experience you will hopefully receive will be transformational. --Glenn T.
Sound Spiritual resource. A practical guide to meditation in AA
I cherish the Spiritual energy that emanates from Tom R. I met Tom when he presented a P&M workshop in Houston, Tx in March, 2017. He shares the joy of practicing the Spiritual discipline of meditation. He loves the Lord!
