This is another "in between the big action" type of volume, but this one was definitely better than the previous one. The page when Sasha is unleashed upon a hunk of meat was hilarious, and the ending is gearing up for another big battle. On to volume 19!

I feel like we're getting to an end, but in reality, it's just the need to wait. I love the progression of the story and I'm quite impressed at its speed.
Will they finally tale Maria wall? Who knows. It doesn't look good, and the series hasn't been relying on much dues ex machine. Indeed, everything has been well accounted for.

I remember reading this ages ago... so yeah. The series is still pretty good, even though I'm behind a few of the latest updates. I'll probably catch up when the series has ended. *apathetic thumbs up*

Another great volume!! We get to learn some backstory for some of the characters then, of course, it ends on a cliffhanger!!! Will be reading the next volume soon ;)
Perfect setup for the climax to come!!! I must know who survives!!!

It's kind of funny looking back at my review of volume 17 and how eager I was to read chapter 71, and then months went by and I'm behind again. I was considering trying to read this and volume 19 back to back, but decided against it.

I haven't really been in the mood to read for the past week so I thought Attack on Titan might change my mood. And it succeeded. I feel like the story has finally found its footing and will only get better from here. Obviously the next volume is going to be an epic battle. A solid entry in a fantastic series. Certainly not the best in the series, but not the worst.
The flashback part was pretty dull. Mostly because it was confusing and didn't explain much. :/ (baby Eren is beyond adorable though.)
but I liked the part where eren and his friends where talking bout seeing the ocean & Levi was sitting all alone... :'( so much emotion & depth in that one drawing. So sad!
I also really liked the big mission. He really got his chance to shine, didn't he? ;D
