This book is absolute garbage. It's author, JOHN C. Maxwell, claims to be a leadership expert. Far from it. He is a theologian who cannot express himself to anyone but the Indoctrinated Christian. His writing refers to so many biblical verses and stories that you cannot read it unless you're "in the dogmatic CHRISTIAN know". I am in the know and I am offended than this book does not make itself available to a secular audience or persons from other religions. One does not need be a CHRISTIAN to h ...more

The older I become, the more I realize how my attitude shapes how I view...everything. Is it a challenge or an opportunity? Can I learn from this incident? How will my attitude-dictated actions now affect things down the road? A good reminder that it’s never too late to adjust your worldview.

John C. Maxwell's Attitude 101 is a great book for people who think, or are leaders. It has some very valuable information on how to get a good mindset and attitude and how it will help you through your life. If you are a coach it is a great book full of tips for your team. Even for teammates, it can help you be more confident and competitive.

I liked the book. But if I was a coach, or a leader, it would've liked it even more. Even so this book will help me get through tough times. I would of rat

Short, concise, clear and to the point

This is what I felt when I read this little book. The content is quite good with various kinds of concepts that we can implement in improving our attitude.

It's just that the concept that is brought in, in my opinion, is quite abstract, so that most people may find it difficult to apply it in everyday life.

The language used is quite formal, so it seems stiff. Besides, the discussion structure is a little confusing, so that the essence of the problem and what

Good short intro into Maxwell’s books on Attitude, and how it effects those in leadership rolls. While not in a leading job, Maxwell brings up great points that can apply to anyone in a professional, as well as personal setting. The chapter on not fearing failure is worth the price of the book.

This isn’t a deep boom at all. You can tell where there should be a couple pages, Maxwell chisels it down to a small paragraph, just skimming the surface of the topic.

So far, the 101 Series has done its jo

Good reinforcement book for how a leader’s attitude should be. Something new is the “twisted idea” that all men should be treated equal. Guess what, it’s wrong to expect that way. Men are treated differently since everyone has its own contribution and performance. Expecting that all should be receive equal treatment is a wrong mindset.

Looking forward to another John Maxwell book.

Simple yet profound. Lessons we must learn and teach to everyone. Second time reading this book and will read again no doubt.

Maxwell writes " Leaders have to give up to go up" and to believe sacrifice is the price great leadership takes a powerful attitude. You will find the foundational steps to a healthy attitude in this book.

This was better than his relationships 101 book. It seemed a lot more diverse and covered more aspects of attitudes including failure. With quotes from other successful people, stories from others lives, and even bible stories, this is a really good book for anyone to read. I will probably be referring back to this often.

John Maxwell details the attitude a leader should have as they progress in their personal development journey. With stories and lessons, John's words speak to the heart of why our attitudes are just as important in developing our leadership capabilities as other aspects. Our attitude and mindset are key in developing the leader within you. ...more

I agree with the author, in that attitude determines quite a lot; however, I do think think there are instances where it may take some time for ones attitude to change.

I never really understood what Attitude was until I read this book. Your attitude is more than who you are on the surface.
