Captures the spirit of the Aussie outback but the rhythm was off in a number of places and there was far too much repetition... especially the rhyming of every line with kangaroo.

Adorable and humorous illustrations and inventive takes on many Aussie critters but the repetition of the title so often began to wear thin. I feel it would have worked better if half of those repetitious lines were removed.

And Kangaroo Played His Didgeridoo By Nigel Gray, Fiction. The teaching point in this book is utilizing rhythm in order to help children strengthen their literacy skills.
