And excellent reference book with all the basics (and beyond) to prepare for triathlon. It's actually a handbook really, as it gives step-by-step instructions on how to prepare your body, fitness level, and select equipment that will enhance your abilities in competition. Even if you don't wish to compete professionally, this book will certainly serve you well by helping you achieve more in any one of the triathlon sports.
This book actually arrived at a really cool time. I was just finishing up with the track season and ready to start training for a triathlon. It's full of very useful information (training, equipment, etc.). I definitely recommend it if you're planning on doing your first triathlon or just trying to get better.
Really liked the early chapters in this book. A lot of good information was presented. As you got further into the book it became more technical and therefore less enjoyable. But if the technical info is what you are looking for this may be the book for you.
