I don’t often visit the world of writing on my blog. Most of the writers I have interviewed were invited to contribute to a special interest of the time, such as research for books on science fiction or history or some other topic I was delving into. Sometimes I just get excited about something I’ve found that really helps me as I work through my own writing. Most of the time, I stick to building my platform and letting my fans and readers get to know me. That process is rooted quite deeply in h ...more

It only took me an hour to read Virtual Book Tours—the first time. Going back through the passages I've highlighted and implementing Jo Linsdell's advice will take a lot longer. I appreciated the easy-to-understand explanations, the practical tips, and the ideas that I'll be able to adapt to suit my personality and my own book tour needs.

Topics include how to organize and promote your tour, how to define your goals and measure results, and how to be the sort of guest who'll be welcome back. The

I don’t read non-fiction that often. Even when I “read” it, I’m not “reading” but skimming over the parts that I could give two shytes about for the bits I want to read.

The fact that I read Jo’s book doesn’t surprise me (most of the non-fiction I read has been writing-related). What surprises me is how FAST I read it.

I was given this book for review always a chancy business what does one say if it is a terrible read?I have read Jo Linsdell before so I felt fairly safe:)

When I first wandered up into cyberspace with my first publication I tried a virtual book tour - it was hard hard work. With little knowledge of the web and insufficient know how it wasn't an overwhelming success, but I learnt a few things from it, I also lost confidence in doing another!

How I wish I had had a book such as this back then. Fo

I thought I knew everything about Virtual Book Tours until I read this book, I now know so much more! Virtual Book tours are a highly effective way to spread the news about your book, I did one for my own book (The Alien Mind) before I read this book and was amazed at how much more traffic and interaction it brought to my website as well as the boosts in sales and reviews. I can't wait to apply the tips Jo shares in this book to my future book releases and see how much MORE of a boost these tip ...more

Virtual Book Tours is well structured, easy to read, and it makes learning about blog tours seamless. You will understand what a tour is, how to determine your target audience, how to set your goals, how to find hosts, schedule stops, promote your tour, and, extremely important, how to measure results.

If you haven’t been on a tour and have no idea where to start, this book will definitely explain it all for you. If you have some idea about what’s what, Virtual Book Tours will clarify everything

I've enjoyed writing since I could hold a pen in my hand but officially started my writing career in 2006. Since then I've worked for numerous clients around the world and won a few awards along the way too.

I've also published several books including the best selling children's picture story books 'Out and About at the Zoo', 'Fairy May' and 'The Box', plus non fiction books'Italian for Tourists',
