My son loved this show growing up and is somewhat of a “foodie” (he loves cooking shows). He found this at the library and we read it together, I helped him understand the recipes and some of the science of how the body uses nutrients to get along. It was an enjoyable read!

If your elementary schooler likes food, goofy jokes, maybe cooking, I'd highly recommend Fizzy's Lunch Lab (the show and these books). It's fun and engaging, and there are some really simple recipes.
