I have read the first two books of this series and both were great reads. Wonderful story line that keeps on giving.
First of all, great plot and love all the characters. Very entertaining!! I was fascinated by the Norse mythology parts of the story.

Look out Torin St. James! Echo has stolen my heart with his cocky mouth and sexy swagger in this Runes series installment. There I was meeting him for the first time and I could not get enough of him and still want more! Cora was great in this book, she caught on to things pretty quickly and made an awesome heroine. Unraveling the truth one puzzle piece at a time.

Cora is desperately trying to figure out how she can be in two places at once, wondering whether or not the Norns took her memories aw

This book gave me tingles in places I didn't know could get tingles! I was helpless but to fall under Echo's spell of hotness. Poor Cora fought a brave battle. But even the strongest willed woman would be a puddle goo if he was determined. I loved that even though this book focused on Cora & Echo we still got to see Raine & Torin as well. I was relieved to see some relationships resolved in this book. Ednah spared no delicious detail when creating Echo. She is the ultimate artist when developing ...more

As a huge fan of the Runes series, I couldn't wait to read Grimnirs by Ednah Walters, it was a fabulous addition to the series and leaves me anxious to read the next book in the series, Seeress.

Our main heroine is Cora Jemison, Raine’s amazing best friend who has recently had a stint in a mental institution; she now has the interesting ability to see souls and the arrogant reaper who collects them. Cora was a

Ednah Walters has done it again, another brilliant, amazing, exhilarating addition to the RUNES series.

I've been in a reading slump for months, I think I've read one book and was completely lost. I got the email about Grimnirs and was over the moon, I knew Ednah's work would help me get my reading groove back, and I wasn't wrong. I started Grimnirs yesterday (a few days ago now, lol) and have finished it today, less than 24hrs after starting, I was utterly glued to my iPad. I cooked dinner while

So Grimnirs is labeled a novella but let me tell you…FULL LENGTH AWESOMENESS!!! ;) This is Cora and Echo’s story and it kicks serious booty. Was it perfect maybe not, do I care NO! Why? because I was once again pulled into an amazing new world and I was able to sneak a peek at Raine and Torrin. Who wouldn’t want that?

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Grimnirs is book #3 in the Runes series. I haven't read any of the other books, and I don't think that impacted my enjoyment in the least. This is an urban fantasy featuring Norse mythology which is rather timely with the recent release of the latest Thor movie. This story starts out interesting, pulling the reader in from the very first page. I will admit that I wish I had read the other books in the series and will pick them
Really good (romance) and interesting (plot), dangerously close to 4* for me (just me feeling bitchy)

The Runes Series is one of those series that kind of took me by surprise. I knew I loved Ednah Walters' Guardian Legacy Series, so I really wanted to start this one, but what I didn't expect was how much I was going to love it. In Runes book one, we meet Raine Cooper, Eirik, and Cora, and the amazingly hot Valkyrie Torin St. James, with his British accent, leather jack, riding a Harley, totally badass, and oozing with hotness. Raine and Torin's story continues in Immortals (Runes #2), and gets e ...more

I absolutely love this series and even though I knew this next book would not be about Torin and Raine I was eager to learn more about Eirik and of course to learn what happened to Cora during the second book.

I won't go into too much detail about that because I don't want to give any spoilers away for the next book but I knew that Cora's story had to be an interesting one and I wanted every juicy detail and also, if I am being completely truthful here, I just wanted more of the world Ms. Walter

I absolutely Love this series. This book is told from Raines friend, Cora’s point of view. But don’t worry if you you’re a huge Raine and Torrin fan, as they are also in this book and play a big part in everything.

The main guy in this one, Echo is so sexy and hot, and all things yummy. He has that bad boy attitude down, and then he does show a sensitive side that I l

5 Incredible Stars!!!

This is not what I expected it to be. I was worried I wouldn't like it, despite it's awesome reviews from other people. I WAS SO WRONG! The author has me 100% hooked! In fact, I'm looking forward to getting my hands on this whole dang series!

Where do I start?

The Story Line... hmph. This is why I was worried I wouldn't like it. I'm so obsessed with superhero movies, including Thor. When I saw that this book had Asgard in it, along with the men
I found this one completely frustrating. It was like wearing someone else's clothes, sure they're the same size but that just don't feel right. This one felt like the author simply indulging in a little bit of fanfiction. It's the same world, with the same characters we love but without any of the really good stuff. Whenever an author makes everyone a part of the otherworld (in this case immortals are popping up everywhere making things just a little bit tedious) it begins to feel a little less ...more

Grimnirs By Ednah Walters
Runes # 2.5

Grimnirs is the third addition to Ednah Walter’s Runes series. I fell in love with Torin St. James in the first book and bonded with Ednah following my review. Since then this series has been near and dear to my heart. I couldn’t wait for the next book in the series and fell in love all over again. So when Ednah asked me to review Grinmirs I quickly jumped at the chance.

Between the unique plot and the exceptional characters Ms. Walters keeps blowing me away. T

One of my favorite male characters is Bones from Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series, and Echo reminds me of him. They have a very similar convictions and spunk. He's a character I was rooting for the whole time. The love that he has for Cora is sweet and dreamy, as well as sexy and steamy.

The incorporated mythology makes it all the more interesting. It had me up until the late hours of the night, flipping pages, wanting to finish just one more chapter.

This is Cora’s story. NOT the continuation of Raine’s. But it continues with the timeline, so it is next in the grand scheme of things. In this story you find out that Cora wasn’t Cora, but was in a mental hospital. Since “that night”, she’s been seeing souls and people who glow. And not only does she see them, but they KNOW she sees them. And this freaks her out. She doesn’t have a clue what’s going on with Raine’s life, but gradually gets caught up on that score. In the process though, she mee ...more

First, a great big warning should be given before any YA reader continues this here-to-fore clean (aka no graphic sex) series. There is semi-graphic sex scenes with an under-age girl. That is NOT cool in my opinion - especially when most who go into this book will be blindsided because the first two books held no such scenes. Make her 18 and consider it a NA or stay consistent with what you have already developed in this YA series!

Okay.. that being said, the overall story continues but from Cora

Cora's just been released from the psych ward, and wants nothing more than for her life to be normal. She really doesn't want to see the souls of the dead, or the reapers that collect them. The guy she's loved for years, but who was dating her best friend Raine, moves away without saying goodbye. So she's nursing some serious heartache, especially as Raine never bothered to visit her when she was in PMI. Love is the last thing on her mind when Echo storms in to her life.

Review from Jeannie Zelos Book reviews.
Towards the end of last year I saw Runes for review, and as I love paranormal I thought about requesting it. Two things put me off, its classed as YA, and though I enjoy some well written YA I somehow thought it would be early teen YA ( wrong!), and I had a long review list at the time. I find it really hard to not request books I think I’ll like..... When I saw Grimnirs had the NA tag on, not just the YA I read the sam

By far my favorite book in the series. I don’t know what it is about third books but they always seem to be my favorites. This book goes off the beaten path and tells the story of Cora, Raines BFF. Now Cora has always been my favorite character so I was real excited to read it. She has this gravitational pull on everyone who knows her. She is smart, funny and I love her Vlog.

Book Review- Grimnirs by Ednah Walters

This is Cora’s story. Maliina took over her identity while she was in a psych hospital. Now Cora is back trying to figure out what has been going on. Her best friends were absent the whole time. She thought Eirick had feelings for her. She is so angry and hurt. Plus she is still seeing souls and doesn’t want to alarm her parents. She is not going back to the hospital. She has no clue what to do. Then she meets a grimnir named Echo and she falls head first in

This book is listed as #2.5 for the overall Runes series. I did not read the first two Runes novels prior to reading this and I do not believe it affected my enjoyment or my ability to follow along with the storyline in any way! While I do not find it necessary to read the previous books before starting this one to follow the storyline, I highly suggest starting from the beginning--you’re going to want to read the

After reading The Guardian Legacy, I have decided to follow Ednah's writings. She is very good on developing new stories and creating great characters. The action, romance, and sense of humor combined make her readers fall in love with the story. In comparison to cooking, she makes a very delicious dish. She makes sure that her audience will definitely enjoy reading her novels.

So, this book is Cora's (Raine's BFF) point of views. In book two, Maliina (an evil Norn and Andris' ex-gf) had etched

Cora is straight out of the asylum. After her parents death she can suddenly see ghosts. She winds up having a break down, but strange things are happening to Cora. Now I won't go into details here but suffice it to say her life is not as clear cut as she always thought it was. Cora is well written and an amazing character, but she isn't the only amazing character. Echo is a total love. He has such strong convictions, such character that you actually forget he is just a person in a book.

Here we go guys this book is from our beloved Cora's point of view. I will be honest, I missed Raine she is probably my favourite until I read this! I mean I still adore Raine but now I love Cora just as much, she is the perfect best friend! (if only I had a friend like her, my life would be so much more interesting haha). We find out so much more about Cora in Grimnirs. The Fates have been cruel to her. We also meet another yummy hot guy named Echo. I am torn on who I love more Torin or Echo...I have decided to accept them both, hehe :D They each have their own strengths and weaknesses.

This is the first book I have read in this series. I loved it. I am in love with Echo. What girl doesn't want an Echo in her life. It is a conflicted love story do you choose a life you thought you wanted or a life you yearn for? I would be petrified if one day I started seeing souls. Cora is thrown into a world very few people know exist with Norse gods. The boy next door is a god and your best friend is a seer. It is an interesting story with twist and turns.
