Full disclosure this review is by the co-author and editor of this English language volume which is an expanded translation from the original German text by Thomas Schmitz-Günther. Published in 1999, it is a comprehensive review of sustainable building technology as published in a series of magazine articles and collected into a single volume titled "Lebensraume." This volume received a very favorable review by Environmental Building News around 2001-2002. The book was never reprinted and the information has become dated. Nevertheless, it is unique in its comprehensive breadth and beautiful photography. Hope you won't mind me giving it a 5-star rating.
