This is the 3rd book in an excellant Civil War series. The author does a great job of making the reader aware of troop movements/maneuvers/strategies surrounding battles & also of describing the turmoil/chaos that takes place on the battlefield.
At times, I almost found myself confused as to who was where?!....but then I felt, "if I feel confused, imagine how confusing it would have been to those actually there & in that fighting..." & all that then, makes me feel that the author did a spectacula

Too Many Characters to Follow

I've enjoyed reading all three books of this series and I am looking forward to reading book four.
I found it somewhat difficult to follow all the different characters at times.
That being said, the author does an excellent job describing the battle scenes.

It's amazing how each character seems to grab hold and focus your attention on the given moment. The highs, lows, and rushes of adrenaline can be felt. A great description of the ins and outs of battle and trying to stay alive.
