A compilation of quotes by--and about--Steve Jobs. Great, quick read that is full of wisdom.
"Whenever you do any one thing intensely over a period of time, you have to give up other lives you could be living. You have to have a real single-minded kind of tunnel vision if you want to get anything significant accomplished. Especially if the desire is not to be a businessman, but to be a creative person." --Steve J.
Good quotes related to Steve Jobs. Not all quotes are wise nuggets that can be can be transposed to your own life, but the book is a quick and interesting read for anyone who is interested in Steve Jobs.
Some great quotes, few and far between. More could have been done here i think, seemed like a rushed google search thrown into an aesthetically beautiful book.
While the format of piecing together a lot of quotes is not my favorite I think it does provide a good glimpse into the man that was Steve Jobs. Getting to see his perspective in small snippets over the years on specific things going on in his life was interesting and provided a very small amout of information into something I only vaugly knew about.
Sadly it ends up feeling like more of a teaser. Reading a quote about how hard he worked to make the Macintosh leaves me wanting. In effect this book of quotes makes me wish I was reading a biography. Its not bad. If I was writing an essay about Jobs I think this would be a fantastic tool for pulling quotes from but since I was just casually reading it I was left with a feeling of dissatisfaction.
TLDR: If you are writing an essay about Apple or Jobs this is a great source for quotes. Not a great source for general reading satisfaction
I didn’t appreciate the format of this book. It was basically an anthology of things Steve Jobs said throughout his life. There were some great quotes, but very little background or context for the quotes.
Loved the book ! It seemed like a mini-biography. A collection of Jobs' quotes from interviews, reports, meetings and people who knew him. Brilliant quotes by a brilliant man ! I learned a lot about how he thought and how he lived, just by reading these quotes ! You will learn a lot from this man <3 Totally recommend it :D
