Keep you from harm is one of these books that are hard to write about. On the one hand it was very beautiful and unique story, that holds a lot of potential, on the other it was dull and had some plot holes. Still, I read this story fast, it was enjoyable and I don’t regret picking it up.

Raielle was born with the power to heal, just like her mother. She has amazing ability to heal every wound, disease, illness. Just one quick touch and people are cured. Her hands are magical.

This book was really good. Better than I expected. Full of surprises. There were a lot of things that I absolutely did not see coming in this book. I’ll be honest and tell you that I thought this was just the story of a broken girl who meets a broken guy and then they fall in love. Wrong. So very, very wrong. It’s more than that, a shit load more than that.

I won't make a little summary for it because you should definitely

First of all, I was instantly drawn to this book because of the cover. I’m not sure exactly what it is that caught my eye, but it seemed to shout, “Read me, I’m an awesome book!” and it didn’t lie.

Keep You From Harm begins with tragedy. Raielle (Pronounced Ray-elle, and don’t offend her by saying it incorrectly. lol) is from a broken home. She has the worst kind of childhood memories with a mom who has always been an alcoholic and drug addict. In the very beginning Raielle is describing her home

Wow, Keep You From Harm was so good! Really good. I got it for review maybe a month or two ago and by the time I got around to reading it, I forgot that it had a paranormal element to it. So when I started reading I thought it was going to be your normal contemporary, slightly angsty romance. But wow, was I wrong. I mean there was romance, and drama but there was also this really cool ability to heal woven in. I have read plenty of paranormal and special ability books, but Keep you From Harm fe ...more

Keep You From Harm is a story that follows a young woman named Raielle. She is going through something most kids couldn't imagine. She found her mom murdered and has found that she has a brother her mom lied about. Her brother, Kyle, has taken her in and will watch over her. She is now going to a new school and has quickly made friends even though she doesn't really want to. She has a se

The good: Refreshing and intriguing plot; good pacing, and likable characters.

The bad: Nothing that I could pick up on.

"With great power comes great responsibility."
--For some reason, this is the first thing that popped up in my mind when I learned of Raielle's secret.

Raielle is just your average teenage girl EXCEPT she isn't exactly normal. She has a secret, well, gift if you will, that can be seen as an endowment or even a curse.

After her mom dies, she finds herself in the custody of a bro

Raielle, has kept a secret about her unique ability. She has inherited this from her mom. When her mom dies, she is thrown into a new life and discovers she has an older brother eager to take her in. What Raielle doesn’t know is that the secret of her ability is just the start of secrets. There is so much more.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the author through the Goodreads' group "Lovers of Paranormal". First of all, this book makes me feel more like the book nerd I know I am. On the outside I try to act all calm and mature, but on the inside, I see myself with crazy eyes and pulling my hair as I wait, not so patiently, for the next book, to find out what happens next. If you haven't figured it out, yes, it has one of those pesky cliffhangers that we love to hate. This book ...more
This was better than I expected. I was a bit wary that it will be the usual cliche story of new girl going to a new school getting the attention of the only unattainable boy in school. While it has the aforementioned formula in the storyline, there is also the paranormal aspect which was executed effectively in the story. Raeille Blackwood grow up in a very unstable environment, fleeting from one foster home to another till her mom got custody of her again and despite coming from a broken family ...more

Keep you from harm, is a breathtaking novel it completely raptured me with emotions I couldn't even contained. As you read this novel you wouldn't believe its a paranormal, this was so shocking to me because the author has totally sucked you in, you just thinks it's a young adult contemporary novel. Raeille is a young beautiful, selfless, smart girl who has a gift that is unbelievable to endure. This power she has to heal people is a gift and a curse. Her mother also has this power too, but her m ...more

I know there are a lot of readers that do not care for the "perfect" and selfless heroines who get amazing grades and that everyone loves. I get it that sometimes it can come off as unrealistic especially if that heroine came from a horrible background. However, I love those heroines and I liked Raielle.

After Raielle finds her mother dead in their apartment, she goes to live with her brother and his family who she never knew anything about. There are a lot of secrets that Raielle start

This is a very interesting, unique, well written story and a great read. Raielle has had a troubled past and a secret she can't share. She meets Lucas and her life seems to start looking up before something happens that threatens her life. I think Raielle is a remarkable character and I really like her. Well damn.. I wasn't expecting that.

This book blew my mind away. Like..... I'm speechless because it was so good.

I'm not going into detail about it - 1. it's 11:00 and I'm tired and 2. theres so much to it.

But I will say that this book is NOTHING like you will ever read. It has the perfect blend of humor, romance, sadness, and many other emotions.

Just read it for yourself and see what I mean! I promise, you won't regret it!
I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal) So many twists and turns and surprises. I couldn't put the book down. Raielle comes face-to-face with family she did not know she had. And a life she did not know existed. You will go through a emotional roller coaster with Raielle. I highly recommend this mature YA romance. I can't wait for the second book. Mrs. Doxer left it with a very good cliffhanger. What will happen to Raielle next?

I have no idea what I just read. The first half drove me nuts. The whole back and forth between Ray & Lucas seriously made me want to pull my hair out. Yet when I hit that middle mark it changed and the book flew by! I couldn't read fast enough! And that ending! My heart is still pounding and cracking with pain. Can't wait to read the next book! Oh poor Lucas! :(

I love mixing in a good paranormal romance every once and a while on top of all the NA and Contemporaries that I read. Keep You From Harm was definitely a good choice. I really liked the mix between the paranormal element and the contemporary romance side. Neither genre overshadowed the other and I really liked the way the paranormal element was incorporated into the story.

This was incredibly gorgeous! It's not beautiful, but gorgeous. I can't freaking believe it, I not only fell madly so engrossedly in love with the story, but the writing of the author. She was very poetic like Colleen Hoover. I really love the way she made her story become so vibrant and alive, her fingers couldn't stop typing so magically. I know from experience that wr

I take a deep breath, and I will myself to calm down. I open a drawer inside a familiar cabinet, and I force the breakdown my body craves deep within it. this is how I stay focused on what's important. There are an infinite number of drawers in my imaginary cabinet, and I can only hope it never crumbles under the weight of what's hiding inside.

When you read a lot of books (like I do) its easy to find stories that are so similar to each other that you start thinking "Have I read this before?" Thi

Drawing and moving, this story forces the reader to delve in real life issues and a slice of the otherworldly made tangible through typical high school drama one would expect of such an age.

OMGosh! Can you say cliffhanger? And yes, that is upsetting, mainly because I'm not a huge fan of endings that don't end. Kind of like someone who leaves on a few chips left in the bottom of the bag. But don't let my statement fool you. This is a well-written, intricately mapped-out tale of a seventeen-year-o

In "Keep You From Harm" we read about a young girl whose life changes completely one day. After she finds her mother dead,Raielle thinks that she's alone and doesn't have anyone else ,but she's wrong.
There are too many secrets, big secrets and once again Raielle realizes that her mother didn't tell her a lot, like for exemple the fact that she had a brother who wanted to meet her.

This book was amazing!! I haven't read a book I connected this much to in a long time. This isn't one of your average boy meets girl with a little paranormal thrown in. This book has everything romance, family, friends and an amazing girl learning what it's truly like to love and trust others, while being loved in return.

Keep You From Harm straddles the line between mature YA and New Adult. It's classified as paranormal, but it's really more like a contemporary romance with a paranormal element. This novel boasts a cliffhanger ending, so you'll have to wait to find out just what happens.

Raielle is an easy character to feel sympathy for. Her life has been crap, but she's doing everything in her power to make something of herself. I liked her q

I not only feel in love with this story, but I’m pretty sure I want to marry Debra right now. I’m already calling it.. it’s one of my favourite books I’ve read in 2013!!!!

I can’t even explain the connection I felt with this book but it was just right there in the beginning. I started reading this not knowing that it was a Paranormal Romance, but I was just completely shocked at the direction that Debra took the story. IT WAS AWESOME

"Keep you from harm" sounds pretty interesting and capturing both from its title and cover but sadly as you go through the book, you realize that it goes through the same stuff that you usually get in a paranormal romance. couple tied with the advantages and disadvantages of supernatural powers and its consequences.

This is one of my favorite genres. The paranormal, romantic in me can't help it, I eat them up as fast as I can. There is just something to be said about a good sweet romance with a slight paranormal edge to it and great characters that I can't help but fall in love with.

I loved Raielle the moment I met her and after only the first few pages with already a murder, a hint of the paranormal and an unknown family just waiting to be discovered, knew that this was going to be my kind of story and one
