Umera Ahmed is one of the most widely-read and popular Urdu fiction novelist and screenplay writer of this era. She completed her Masters in English Literature from Murray College, Sialkot. Later she became an English language lecturer for the students of O and A levels at Army Public College, Sialkot. However she left the job a few years back in order to devote her full attention to writing. She began her writing career in 1998 at a quite young age. Her initial stories were published in monthly urdu digests and later came out in the form of books. She has written about 16 books , comprising of complete novels and compilations of short stories. However it was her novel "Peer-e-Kaamil (S.A.W.W)" which became her identity.
Harf se Lafz tak is a compilation of selected passages from all the books by Umera Ahmad. All her books have amazing quotes capable to stirring your entire being. Reafing all of those together in one book is nothing short of a treat for her fans.
I am not saying I am a fan. Or maybe I am, but I don't realize it. Or maybe I have realized it, but don't want to admit it. Or maybe I just admitted that.
This short book is a collection of favorite quotes of numerous Umera Ahmed's books. If one hasn't read Umera Ahmed, then this book gives quite an overview of Umera's writings. Mostly quotes are from Pir-e-Kamil. I personally liked Harf se Lafz tak. Most of the quotes/excerpts are my favorites as well. I must read.
