A retelling of the story of Medusa and Perseus from Medusa's point of view.
The book starts by summarizing the original tale for those readers who might not be familiar. Then, Medusa tells "the real story." Athena is a bully whose jealous of Medusa's beauty, especially when Poseidon notices her. "I guess it's dangerous to be more beautiful than a goddess."

i really truly wish that more of this series would be available in KU ... hoping other little ones will have that other service. but i don't. a big kid at heart ... love making sure that all folks who love to read ... have the books they so desire and wish for ... i mean who doesn't love to read?? i feel for them if they don't. find that interest and get to reading ... learning what you love. so fun. great book. please check it out. so so good.

Re-telling of the story of Medusa, from her POV. Good in the sense of encouraging children to think a little more critically about their sources of information, though it still feels wrong to bowdlerize Medusa's suffering.

The reading level of this title is perfect for early chapter book readers, once you are familiar with the Greek terminology and names. The text is in large type and not too lengthy, and the illustrations are colorful and dynamic. A good choice for kids who aren't quite ready for the Goddess Girls series.
