The title really does not indicate what kind of book this is. It's a book for children. Very strange children indeed, who understand words like "impassable" and "toiled" but who needs words like "fiery" and "immigrant" defined in a glossery.

Not what I was looking for, and nothing in the title indicates this is a history book for young children, but it's fine for what it is.

A detailed look at tragedy of a factory fire during the industrial. This book series has wonderful pictures and really shows you these terrible real-life events. Not for the faint of heart. Each book tries to sum up the steps made to prevent such things from happening again. While there were many laws set up to protect workers after the incident, there are still several deaths in workplaces like this today. Human negligence is alive and well.

I think this is probably meant to be a children's or teen's book but it still provides a good account of this tragedy.
