Julie Gordon, Australia's most boring teenage girl, has won an American Field Scholarship that takes her to Ohio. Wow, an entire year of boring other people.

This is the fourth in the Julie Gordon series, but luckily not the worst. It has the least plot though, so prepare to read 170 pages of nothing happening.

I read this when I was young and recently found it again, great book for Tweens.

Shelves: australia, ya, outdated
Published in 1975, this is the sort of thing women now in their 60s were reading as adolescents. I thought a Julie Gordon novel might be an interesting look into cultural differences between Australia and America as they were perceived back then.

I actually read an Australian edition -- there's no 'Trixie Belden presents' on the front of this book. If there had been, I would have known to expect a plot driven story because I read quite a few Trixie Beldens as a kid. I had been hoping for somethi
