In Convergence, the author gives us a terrific story that mixes elements of mystery, romance and travel. I enjoyed both the characterizations and the relationship that develops between vampire and mortal shop owner looking for a certain magical object.

I'd recommend this if you are looking for a quick read. The characters/setting/plot are fully realized; they're just succinct. This is about two brothers & a companion who go on an adventure to find an artifact. A few scenes cover the beginning/traveling portion of a long journey. Once they reach their destination, there's an "Indiana Jones" portion, which is pretty much play-by-play (no time skipping), before some m/m interaction. Then, there are a few scenes to wrap up. To me, Convergence ...more

A quick rundown: Chris runs his dads curiosity store with his friend Ling. They go on trips and find rare items for the shop. This particular journey requires a Vampire. They place an ad and Dorran applies for the job.
I expected a lot more from this story. It had such a great premise somehow it just never got there for me. The plot was a bit Indian Jones like with booby traps and clues. I actually liked the cryptic messages and clues, I

I loved everything about Convergence. The characters drew me in immediately, and Ms. Andor's storytelling is as sharp and crisp as ever. I didn't want to put it down once I started reading. I loved this unique plot, as well as the very creative take on some riddles, and the inventive action that reminded me a little of Indiana Jones. But, Ms. Andor's characters are completely original, and she makes them her own, each interesting in their own unique ways. I definitely would love to read more abo ...more

I was disappointed that there wasn't more action, but mostly because I love Indiana Jones adventures and wanted more of that. I am so over vampires* that I very nearly didn't read this, but I'm glad I did in the end, because I enjoyed the smooth, succinct storytelling. It was ... just enough vampire adventure that I didn't get sick of reading about vampires. A nice pocket-sized romp through the paranormal!

*I have been "over" vampires for at least a decade; this is not a new development in light

I liked the story, but as another review pointed out it feels more like a beginning, like it is setting the scene for a longer story. It's a different kind of story - kind of Indiana Jones adventure combined with MM vampire romance, which I found original and interesting. Unfortunately the romance wasn't explored very in depth so it could really use a sequel.

Oh I liked this a lot. It is short but succinct. Nothing was wasted and still painted a lovely picture. I would read more of Chris and Dorran.
