Tempt Me, Cowboy is a short, sweet and sassy story about opposites attracting. It’s also about the virtues of blooming where you’re planted, and alternately about how sweet it is to find the place that your spirit calls home.

The surprising thing about Tempt Me, Cowboy, is how many different things it packs into a surprisingly short novella. Yet it still feels completely satisfying when the last page turns (or flips, as the case might be).

When you want something bad enough in life there is one piece of advise that everyone will give you "Go for it, keep pushing till you get it".

But we do not always find the courage or strength to push on till we get it, some of us even have with all our determination the bad luck of losing it just as it is within our grasp, and with that comes a complete set of other problems. The question is will you keep fighting or simply let go?

In this read from Megan Crane she tells the story of Chelsea, she

Could Miss Prim and Proper lower her guard to walk on the wild side with Mr. Tall, Dark and Sexy? Chelsea wasn't sure, but she would definitely try.

Serious, stuffy, and conservative, Chelsea Crawford Collier had deep roots in the soil of Marietta, Montana. She was not free spirited, nor wanton, and always shielded herself from scandal. That is, until Tod Styles, her ex-boyfriend, decided to be unfaithful. Now the whole town pitied her. She may not be the cause of the scandal, but she sure felt

What a start to a new series! Tempt Me Cowboy by Megan Crane is the 1st book in The Copper Mountain Rodeo series. Having not read anything by Megan before I can honestly say that I am now a new fan. Megan's writing kept me very interested in what was going to happen in this book. The start of the book begins with a bang. The initial interaction between our couple, Jasper and Chelsea had me asking-how can these two people who are opposites possibly end up together? Jasper who moves to Marietta, ...more

Jasper is a newbee to town come to make over her families historic train depot into a microbrewery. He is seeking something, always wanting to see something new, take on a new challenge. OH MY GOD. If Megan Crane was trying to write the most annoying, hoity-toity, ill-mannered, holier-than-thou BITCH she possibly could... she almost succeeded. I couldn't even make it to 10%.

Overly wordy style was not my favorite but it had some witty and funny dialogue.

In Tempt Me Cowboy by Megan Crane, Chelsea Crawford Collier, history teacher, is happy and comfortable with her life in Marietta, Montana. Yes, she's still living with her mother and the whole town knows she caught her boyfriend cheating on her, but she's happy and Marietta is where she wants to be. Her family is one of the founding families of Marietta, but slowly their wealth has withered. A review copy was provided for an honest review. Tempt Me, Cowboy is the first novella in a new romance-oriented series. It's inviting from the start, and is blazing with passion and chemistry. I hadn't expected a whole lot out of this short read but I ended up liking it a lot. Generally I prefer long full-length novels but Tempt Me, Cowboy gave me everything a 300 page book would and more! The protagonist has her share of issues, with an overconfident Texan who riles her up, their opposites ...more

For anyone who has ever questioned whether it is better to just play it safe and do what everyone else expects of you, or to take risks and make yourself happy, this story is for you. Marietta, Montana is like any typical small town, everybody knows everybody and nothing stays secret for more than a couple of minutes.

I really found Chelsea's character likable. She grew up in Marietta her whole life and never dreamed of leaving. She is a history teacher at the local school and dresses extremely

Super quick read that was remarkably verbose.

I didn’t like Jasper off the get go. Probably around 26% in he did tug a bit at my heart strings. He just gave me skeevy, pervy vibes for some reason. I completely related and enjoyed spending time with Chelsea whom Jasper nicknamed Triple C (ick). She was so relatable and down to earth. Sure, there were times where she came close to a caricature with her being prissy and uptight, however, in general, I found her to be very real.

The story in itself

Tempt Me, Cowboy by Megan Crane is the first release in the Copper Mountain Rodeo novellas. This story was a fun and fast read, bringing together small-town girl, Chelsea with rich, big-city Jasper. Chelsea's family has a long history in Marietta, Montana, and she never really left. A history teacher, she is working hard to try and preserve her family's history (and keep her mother quiet) by acquiring the old railroad depot and turning it into a museum. This plan is thwarted when the depot is ...more

Really enjoyed this pacey sweet n spicy novella recommended by a friend... Loved the setting and character development. The author handles passion with a flair, and the witty small town observations and dialogue made for lively secondary characters.

In the beginning, the evocative physical connection between the characters felt a teensy bit overplayed. I like for the reader to sense the connection before the characters do. Also, Jasper makes a remark that was more than a bit inappropriate, which

Spontaneous combustion is what happens when you cross a jaded, swoon worthy and knows it kind of guy and a rule-following, history spouting, good girl……Well kind of. There were definitely sparks flying from the first encounter. I was smitten with these characters from page 1. I found Jasper and Chelsea to be very real and likeable. Megan Crane always wows me with her characters voice and in Tempt Me Cowboy, they were spot on. Even though this is a novella, Crane does an excellent job of giving ...more

Sold to Jasper Flint. Jasper is a self made rich man who plans to make the depot into a brewery. As sparks fly Chelsea has to decide if he is worth the risk.
