I felt like this woman never had a moments piece from the photographers.

In many ways, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis was a quintessential New Yorker. In a city that prides itself on style and anonymity for those who seek it, Jackie had both.

No matter how casual the event, she was always appropriately dressed, never overdressed nor wearing conspicuous jewelry - except of course on black-tie occasions. When she lived on Fifth Avenue and worked as an editor at Doubleday, she would walk through Central Park on her way to the office wearing a silk scarf on her head and large

NEW YORK JACKIE is a photo-history of the years Jackie Kennedy lived and worked in the big Apple. Taken by a number of photographers, the pix capture her strolling down streets, biking, talking with friends, at work, walking with Caroline and John Jr., attending a Broadway musical, etc. The images date from the mid-1960s to the mid-1990s. Whatever the circumstances, they capture a poised, charming and lovely woman...with a dazzling smile.

Outstanding book! Anyone who loves Jackie will adore the photos in this book.

This is an intimate portrait of one of America's leading ladies, captured in brief glimpses. These photos are as common as Jackie walking down the street with members of her family, sharing ice cream cones with her children or as lovely as Jackie at the opera, dressed in her finest. Even in the most mundane circumstances, you cannot deny that this woman had a style all her own. She was a survivor in so many ways.
