I brought home several of the Seedlings transportation books for my 22-month-old who loves trucks. The series is very simple, which can be nice for early nonfiction reads for little ones. The books introduce readers to some of the parts of the vehicle and shares simple information about what it does. Depending on the topic, some were better reads than others.

This is a very simplified easy-to-read and easy-to-understand story about heavy equipment - particularly diggers. The pictures are wonderful, and new words are highlighted with definitions included in the back of the book.

There are only so many things you can say to a 2 year old about diggers, and this book pretty much covers it.
