Yuck. Too much internal (infernal) dialogue. The mental struggles swung back and forth so much for both characters that I almost stopped reading it. And suddenly......taaaadaaaa! They loved each other. Happy ending blah blah blah. I found myself reading the first sentence of a paragraph, saw it was more internal waffling and skipped to the next.
