After reading Eternal Service, we were introduced to one of the main characters in this book, Sterling. His character seemed to have his downfalls, and being honest, going by what I just read in Eternal Service, I wasn't sure if I would even like him! So when I found out that this book was his story, I was unsure if I would even want to read it.

I am so glad that I did decide to read his story! I don't want to give too much away with my review, but I do know that I was really excited t

I received this book for an honest review, and here it is. WOWEE!

I suffer from insomnia, and what a way to pass the time not sleeping, than with this great book. This book is full of action, humor, edge of your chair oh em gee's, lovable characters, and HOT love scenes! Sigh, what more do you need? (and by the way, the epilogue was EPIC)

I said it in my review of Eternal Service, and I'll say it again: if you've ever read Lynsay Sands' Argeneau series, then I would rate this blossoming series ri

I was lucky to be able to discover Regina Morris. She contacted me to review her first book Eternal Service and I was just entranced with the world she created. When she asked me to review Sterling’s book, I was all over it!
Sterling intrigued me. As a half-breed he is seen as a reject. This hurts my heart because he is in constant pain to help with anything and everything that comes his way. His father, Raymond seems to be a little harsh towards the w

It was mentioned to me that this book could be read as a standalone and that was what I was planning to originally do. I found myself thoroughly enjoyed this book that after reading United Service I decided to take advantage of the $0.99 Eternal Service promo and ended up reading both instead. I have to say that it gave me an even better appreciation of this series.

What I found most intriguing about it was the unique vampire world building that was involved. There are so many different vampire f

In the second book in the Colony series by Regina Morris, we are looking at the life of Sterling, a half-breed. His mom was human, his dad a vampire. His mother became pregnant before she could be changed which resulted in Sterling. Sterling is an amazing member of the Colony, an elite group of vampires that work directly with the President of the United States, the CIA and the FBI. And he is great at his job, but he has always been held back by the fact that he is not a full-fledged vampire. Mo ...more

I have to say, I enjoyed this story. United Service by Regina Morris, is part of a series; however, it can be a standalone book.

Sterling is a vampire who works undercover for the government. He has the ability to touch objects and receive information from them—psychometry. It’s a gift that helps him and his uncover team capture villains, but it’s also a curse. After Sterling uses his ability to get a lead on a case, he’s plagued with horrendous headaches, and his entire body itches. The only thi

Sterling is a half-breed vampire. He is half human and half vampire. He is a covert operative that works for the government. He is on a team led by his father. His ability to read the history of an object just by touching it is useful but painful. After using his ability he has severe migraines that only a woman’s given touch can cure. A new case comes a long for Sterling. Vampire children are being abducted. He must get down to the bottom of this before anymore children get taken. But, in getti ...more

United Service begins shortly after the conclusion of Eternal Service and while this installment focuses on Sterling and Kate and could stand alone, it is a much richer more satisfying read having first read book one. When Sterling was introduced in Eternal Service he was portrayed as a sexually promiscuous playboy with a bad attitude and in United Service we get to know the real Sterling and what drives his behaviors. I have to say I really loved this book. It was wonderfully heart wrenching an ...more

Well, this is a record for me, I started this book Sept. 2 and finished it Sept. 6. I'm known as a slow reader, but this book I just couldn't stop reading.

This is the second book in The Colony series by Regina Morris and sure to be a huge hit with the vampire romance crowd. I loved this book as much as if not more than the first book in the series Eternal Service.

I found this story to be much "darker" than the first book, but only in parts. It revolves around Colony member Sterling, the so cal

I was given a copy of this as an ARC for an honest review along with the first book and not even halfway through I went and bought both books. I had to support Regina Morris by buying them because they are great. This book was better than the first and it was good and I really enjoyed it but this one was so much better. She was able to make it seem like it could be real. I mean you are reading about the vampires but it is almost like you forget they are not real and they could be your best frien ...more

I got this book from the author, free of cost, in exchange of an honest review from my side!

Firstly I would like to thank Regina Morris, author of United Service, for this great opportunity.

I really liked the book a lot, it's a fresh splash in the vampire genre because it's not all serious and gory like other vampire books rather it has the humorous edge to it which was totally great and really enjoyable.

I found the case they were on very interesting and was so happy when the crazy bad people got what was coming to them. I loved the romance in it and was so happy he finally found happiness. I received a complimentary copy to read and review. I love the second one. I liked how this one was about Sterling and told his story. Sterling is one of my favorite characters in the series. The plot was good. It had great twists and turns. I would highly recommend it to others. I look forward to reading more of Regina's books.

Great book, better than the first. Sterling, a half breed vampire, is working on a case about kidnapped children when he meets Kate. As they work on the case together, sparks of all kinds fly. The plot in this book is so realistic, and again there is a strong cast of characters with a very strong family line throughout. Once again I didn't want to put this book down once I started reading it, and was up late into the night just so I wouldn't miss anything and Ms. Morris doesn't disappoint. Plent ...more

United Service is a very paranormal crime romance story. Sterling, a half-breed, works undercover for the U.S. government. He is handicapped with side effects of his vampire unique ability of reading inanimate objects. Only rain and a willingly woman's touch could smooth the agony of his itching skin and painful headache.

Sterling teamed with Kate to find the kidnapping of children of vampire descents. Kate is on her mission to find the girl, she was babysitting. She was kidnapped under Kate's w

I won this book in a Goodreads Giveaway without having read Regina Morris' first book in her series. Luckily, you don't really need to have read the first one to understand the second one. And may I also mention that the author is wonderful. She sent me a thankyou note with the book. It really gives me warm feelings about the author. Anyway, onto the book review.

4.5 stars!

UNITED SERVICE, a paranormal romance by Regina Morris, was the first adult, vampire book that I have read, and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised on many levels. I expected to like the book, of course, but I was impressed with the originality; it didn’t stick with the usual “vampire rules” that many books seem to follow. I love the fact that the author took the concept of vampires but put a whole new twist on it.

UNITED SERVICE is almost like two stories in one. It begins with a

While I did notice the occasional instance of a missing word from a sentence, it was never anything that would detract from the enjoyment of the novel. I can see the progress that Miss Morris has made in her writing… but there’s a downside to this. The sentences were simple and uncomplicated, but there were times that I would have enjoyed a little complexity to the writing. Words were used more than once, resulting in a shaky rhythm that lacked a smooth reading flow. That’s not to say that there ...more

United Service is a crime/mystery novel with a paranormal twist. You’ve got the requisite haunted, somewhat reluctant hero with a bit of a chip on his shoulder, Sterling. Next add the tightly wound, sarcastic, but sweet heroine Kate. These two are thrown together to solve the mystery behind a series of child kidnappings. Of course two such opposing personalities are sure to clash. And by the way, they are all vampires, or at least half in some cases.

This book is touted as the story of vamps as t

I am reviewing this book for Rising Indies United.

This is a continuation of the first book, but instead of Raymond being the main character, this is Sterling's story. In the first book, I did like Raymond and thought that Sterling was a jerk and a man whore. But after reading this book, I know my opinion was very wrong of Sterling.

Sterling is a half-breed vampire, his mother was human but died while having him. He was raised by his father, Raymond, and his aunt, Sulie. He has a unique gift, bu

This book combines everything that is awesome about the paranormal genre! Right from the start I fell for the main character, Sterling. He has an extraordinary gift with terrible side affects. His only remedy is the touch of a women. This makes everybody he knows think he is just a womanizer who will never settle down. Sterling and Kate both have so much to overcome, and I like how well it's all integrated with the kidnappings. I also hope to see more of Kekoa.
