An excellent guide to all of Western Europe - including some of the smaller villages that you might consider "off the beaten trail". We did actually use some of the recommendations for hostels, such as the Funny Farm and the Balmer's Herberge both in Interlaken. They were a lot of fun and had a lot of Canadian tourists as advertised! I wish the photos were in colour though, but the maps were again very useful, especially when you just show up in a country you've never been before and haven't seen a place to pick up a tourist map yet. This is a must have for any backpacker!
