Kerima Polotan-Tuvera was a Filipino author. She was a renowned and highly respected fictionist, essayist, and journalists, with her works having received among the highest literary distinctions of the Philippines.[1] Some of her stories have been published under the pseudonym Patricia S. Torres.
Polotan's stories are not for the fainthearted. She tells it likes it is, presents love in its various aching forms, guides us into the corridors of powers, shows us how good people sell out.
I loved this book. But it's not an easy read.
"You were the wind in my face," she wanted to say...and Red's brown strong finger tenderly tracing a throbbing vein along her hand had been what she'd wanted.
Something has left me, Carmen realized with a pang, some kind of necessary anger has gone out of me, she thought.
