This proficiency based book helps readers expand and deepen their knowledge of Russian grammar; acquire greater command of vocabulary; and increase their ability to understand, speak and read Russian.
Excellent second year textbook overall (I use it as a follow-up to Stilman and Harkins), but I prefer the first addition, as in the second they switched to the one stem approach to verb conjugation, that, in my experience, leaves everyone confused. If they had stuck with the standard approach like in the first edition, this would have been a valuable update, otherwise I'd stick with the first edition.
Okay, I can only speak about a slightly earlier version of this textbook by Davis & Oprendek... it was excellent. I hope they've maintained the quality in later editions.
