I checked this book out from my local library and felt like I was getting away with something when I downloaded the full collection of letters that comes with it for free. There's something here for everyone, at any stage in their career or in their job search. In addition to your standard resume cover letters, the collection includes examples of networking letters, follow-up letters, thank you letters, "make something happen" letters, reference requests, meeting confirmations, job acceptance letters, negotiation letters, offer rejection letters, and letters of resignation. The book itself includes commentary on many of these letters, pointing out what each one does well that sets it apart from the competition.
I can honestly say that after reading this book from cover to cover, I am more invigorated and confident in my job search and plan to put everything I learned to use in preparing my own cover letters.
Before reading this, I didn't think it would be possible, nor necessary, to have 201 cover letters. Color me surprised. I can't think of any other cover letters that could possibly be missing, but trust me, anyone can find the right type of cover letter for any occasion. The collection is amazing. I love that there is a downloadable file with templates, so you don't even need to retype from the book.
