This book was originally titled "The Sugar Creek Gang Goes North"- the 1947 edition I read has the "Goes North" title- apparently the titles were made more dramatic when the series was reissued a few decades later. A fun boys adventure series with mystery and adventure lurking around every corner. And while I jumped in at #12, I'd say they're best read in order from the beginning because a lot of previous adventures were referenced.
