Alec and Tamsyn know they are meant to be together though they have never met. And yet their passion for each other consumes them when they dream.
Alec knows that Tamsyn is the woman for him, but finding her at the moment is an impossibility. Or is it?
After resigning from her job, Tamsyn takes a break in Scotland when she feels the presence of the man who haunts her dreams. He is tangibly near and in Edinburgh. The sex they have in her sleeping moments becomes more real. But how can she find him in the streets of Edinburgh when the only thing she remembers is his touch, his scent, his passion?
Some stories stay with you forever. Some characters feel like old friends. Isobelle Cate writes both. Her books are full of love that surprises, second chances that feel real, and people who’ve been through heartbreak but find the courage to love again. Every story she tells reminds us that hope is never lost, and love always finds a way.
Her characters are alive, flawed, brave, funny, and achingly human. Whether it’s a sweeping romance or a touch of magic, her stories pull you in and refuse to let go.
Off the page, Isobelle is just as captivating. She’s warm, thoughtful, and a little delightfully quirky someone who loves quiet afternoons with a book, the smell of baking drifting through the house, and the gentle rhythm of crocheting. She lives in Manchester with her family and their tiny, fearless goldfish, Ninja, who somehow makes every day a little more interesting.
Readers don’t just come for her stories, they stay for her heart. Isobelle’s words comfort, inspire, and remind us that even when life feels impossible, love has a way of finding us.
**** 1/2 (4-1/2 stars) Scottish man! (sigh) The accent. (I'm all ears) My synapses are running hot because Isobelle gives us enough description to pop your rivets. From across the pond I'm rating Isobelle's novella, "Love in Her Dreams." If you were here, Isobelle, I'd take you out for coffee and give you a good tongue lashing for not making this a full length novel. Who is Alec? I must have more. Tamsyn (love that name) is a enigmatic female lead. The scenes we all cherish (the hot ones) are what I would consider upscale erotica. There's not enough time to create a complex plot, but what Isobelle did is create a unique idea. Can you imagine dreaming that the love of your life, a man who makes your blood sing each night with his sensual touch, is real. The novella remains locked in a dreamlike state throughout. Seeking, but not quite believing that Alec could be real, Tamsyn feels his presence, and Alec senses the same. Has to be fate that these two people are meant to find each other. And damn don't I wish I was Tamsyn. Isobelle has another book called "Rapture at Midnight". You can bet your hot paranormal ass I'm going to read it.
What a hot erotic steaming read. The story is about Alec and Tamsyn, sense they are meant to be together but have never met. Yet their passion for one another is in their dreams. Loved the story was set between England and Edinburgh, being one of my favourite destination. This book is well written and I will recommend it. A fantastic first book from Isobelle Cate and look forward to many future reads from her.
I love Isobelle Cate and her books. This one is just as amazing as all the others. Shame it is short, with we learned more about Tamsyn and Alec. Plenty of suspense and so so steamy. Yum.
Tamsyn is having some seriously sexy dreams. For a while, a hunky, unknown man has been invading her sleep and leaving her feeling sexually satisfied yet empty inside. Tamsyn doesn't know if this mystery man is real, but when an opportunity comes for her to leave her job and take a vacation, she is drawn to the tourist-area of Scotland. The pull of her dream-man (did I mention he is Scottish?), Alec, is even greater when there. The love between these two is so strong is can overcome distance, reality, and the subconscious.
Love in Her Dreams by Isobelle Cate is a short, quick read FULL of steamy love scenes. Talk about wet dreams! This novella is hot. And the sex goes on and on! I loved the characters names—Alec and Tamsyn. Very unique. What I loved the most about this story is the dreamlike atmosphere Cate creates with her writing. We know as much about these characters as they know about each other, and even though I think Cate had the makings of a possible 100k novel here, the shortness and easy-to-read style took over me like a dream. I was left wanting more and asking questions. A sexy Scot named Alec? Where can I get one of those? I'll even take him in dreams!
For my critique—besides my desire for more—I only have two things. Cate's writing style is so different, refreshingly so, that when I stumbled across a repeating word or phrase, I was thrown a bit off. For example, the word/phrase “cream” and “cream-colored” was used a bit. And the laird cocked his brow multiple times during his small part, but I chalk that up to a writer being engulfed in her craft. Also, readers are never given a time-span of how long Tamsyn and Alec are having these dreams, but it is hinted that it's been happening for a while. If so, why don't they tell each other their names? They must have wondered who this other person was, even if he/she was imaginary. I don't think adding them knowing names would have taken from the story either. It could be that Tamsyn and Alec are so convinced that the other person isn't real that there is no need for names. Then, I would have liked to see that mentioned somewhere. Hmm... I wanted just a little more explanation there. That is the only reason I knocked off a star. Otherwise, Love in Her Dreams was a fun (blushingly hot) read! I wish I had the cojones to write something so steamy! I recommend reading this novella while in bed. Who knows. Maybe Alec will join you!
4 Sexy, atrayente, rápido, con una buena dosis de humor, realista... una historia que puedes sentir página a página con un alto voltaje erótico. No es seguro leerla en público. Faltó la explicación del suceso paranormal, pero de resto, excelente. 4 Sexy, attractive, fast, with a good dose of humor, realistic... a story you can feel page by page at a high erotic voltage. It is not safe to read in public. It was missed the explanation of paranormal event, but excellent anyway. I wish it was longer, the cover evoked too much mystery, tension, many things, and in the end it was only romance based on the carnal attraction. I understand these things are real, but I really think it needed a little more plot, not only fever.

wow what a steamy read this was. The love story between Alec and Tamsyn is very passionate even though they hadn't met and wow I couldn't put it down, I even fell asleep while I was getting close to the end. Isobelle Cate is a brilliant author and this is just an example of her amazing work.
I think I'm in need of a cold shower after reading Love in her dreams by Isobella Cate.
I did have a major issue with this book, it was too short! I so would have loved to seen this incredable story developed into a full lenght novel.
I highly recommend Love in her dreams to anyone wanting to read a quick, hot story during their lunch break. But be warned... reading this book may cause hot flashes that could be hard to explain to your co-workers.
There just wasn't enough of a plot for me. There was more lust than love in the story. The extent of the plot seems to be find and bang the person you already have dream sex with each night. Marriage and love are more of an afterthought for Tamsyn & Alec's characters. The steamy scenes were incredibly steamy though.
Holy this book was hot . Had me from the very first page . If you want steamy sex and more steamy se. Tamsyn and Alec are the couple for you . Check it out if you a nice steamy book to read before bed . You might dream about your soulmate also
Interesting twist to a love story, still managed to feel a bit far fetched at times. I just could not get why they never tried talking sooner. I did like the writing and the pace of the story, it makes for a relaxing, sweet, hopeful read.
A good and sexy story. I liked the Tamsyn and Alex but the story could have been fleshed out a little more. The price was a bit much for such a short tale.
