Not one of my favorite books. i had a hard time finishing the first half. The second was better but still i wasn't feeling it. Ranches and "swindlers" does nothing for me.

My version of this book has three stories not just two!
All are contemporary romance with some drama/tragedy to overcome.
first story is about betrayal, horse breeding and love conquering all
second story is swindles and horse breeding and love conquering all
third story is about unrequited love, journalism and love conquering all.
I looked up when these books were first published and it was in the early eighties. Romance novels have changed over the decades... but the originality in these stories still carries a breathe of fresh air.
I enjoyed reading them.
