I have been holding onto this book for a while, why on earth did I do that!! I should have read it sooner.

Susan is in our Facebook group and when she asked for a read and review I jumped at the chance. Put it on my TBR list and must have jumped over it.

I missed out for a while there, so, if you have it, don't skip over it, read it. Susan Lohrer is a very top rate author. she weaves a story very well and developed the people in it as she goes along.
I wanted to know what had gone on before once he

Over the Edge was a book that I, quite frankly, have mixed feelings about. I liked it somewhat, but I did not love it. It had an interesting beginning that made me want to find out about the main character even more. The initial pacing and the uncovering of details, however, proved a bit slow for me, which made the reading somewhat laborious. When the story finally picked up, tons of things began happening.

Overall, the primary characters each seemed to lack a maturity, even as they sought resol

This book will have you running the gamut of emotions, from laughing out loud to crying and reaching for the tissue box.
All in all, it was a very quick read just because I couldn't put it down! I had to know what was going to happen next. And there was ALWAYS something happening.

We start off with Kat chained to Harvey the Douglas Fir and you would think that would be the craziest part, but you would be wrong!

Such a charming story!!!!

I received this ebook for free in exchange for an honest revi

This is really more of just a straight up contemporary fiction novel then a romance. In the first quarter the two people mentioned in the summary interact twice and have a bunch of confused feelings about the relationship they used to have while they run around trying to fix their professional & personal lives (but not love lives). This book should also come with some trigger warnings with sexual abuse, teacher/student rape... all of which is clearly going to be visited very early on (all th ...more

Kat Cherish might just be my new book heroine for this month. She was a no-nonsense principal who had principles (wow, it almost sounded like a rhyme!) and took matters in her own hands, if needed be. She loved her job and didn't mind being single. One fateful day while she was handcuffed to a Douglas fir, in a heavy downpour, her misgivings gave way. Caught up by her ex-lover, betrayed by some of her pupils, confronted by the superintendent, and one phone call by her bestfriend to her old schoo ...more

Over The Edge by Susan Lohrer,
WOW and AWESOME is how I would describe Susan's new book"Over The Edge". If you love romance and comedy you will love this book. Sometimes I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. Susan Lohrer has herself a winner. Kat Cherish was high school principal and she loved her job, but she is always getting into trouble. She moves back to her home town, Craigmont , and her old high school. She is trying to make a new start for her and her sister Lacey. Not only is her s

Another touching, action packed novel by Susan Lohrer, that will keep you reading just to find out what the next catastrophe is. Kat Cherish has lost her job as a high school principal – her sister and ex-boyfriend are both mad at her. She decides to move back to her old home town and accepts a job as vice principal of the high school she graduated from. This move comes with a major problem – her ex-boyfriend, Evan Jerry, owns the house next door to the family home Kat wants to buy back.

Well this book has it all! Laughs, tears, angst. I experienced a roller-coaster of emotions but loved every minute!

Susan Lohrer writes down to earth "normal" people in an extra-ordinary way. You get sucked into the lives of the characters and find yourself rooting for them from the start!

Kat was feisty and strong in many ways but mis-guided and insecure in others which made her very believable and real. Evan...phew! What can I say about Evan? The mental picture I had conjured in my mind made me

My first introduction to Susan Lohrer has had me hunting down her other books. While not in my usual category once I started this book I couldn’t put it down. You are drawn in the story and the characters are very real. Their imperfections and choices endear you to them, after all how many times have we ourselves not made the best decision? I ended up talking to the main character Kat and shouting at her a fair few times! I rather enjoyed that the love scenes took place behind closed doors as it ...more

Really enjoyed this book

This book showed up on my recommendations and to my surprise I liked it. My only complaint would be that I wanted to see a few of the other characters get what they had coming.
