When Keisha Hawkins, an overachieving scholarship kid, is forced to tutor her crush, a privileged white boy, she thinks it’s the end of her. The man is way too sexy. Not to mention full of himself. He's the college’s star athlete. He’s as big as giant. And he enjoys provoking her to no end. How could she be expected to work under such circumstances?

Rex Kellerton, a werewolf, is relentless about pursuing Keisha, his better half. He’s waited four years to get close to her. He needs to get close to her! Sure, she thinks he is a player. Sure, she smashed her foot on his toe. And yeah, she keeps calling his wolf form “Rover” but that’s nothing he can’t handle. She is his and that’s that.

With stereotypes, misconceptions, werewolves, composition papers and bullies coming between them—can these two unlikely lovers trust the love between them to earn a passing grade? Or will they bottom out their senior year?

Man, I'm so disappointed in this story. So many contradictions, and the story itself was just rushed. One minute Keisha's the headstrong, angry black woman who puts people in their place, then as soon as she's called out on it, she cowers. Girl bye. Own your truth! She was calling out folks on their bigotry and privilege left and right, yet when she's thrown the "reverse racist" card, she backs down. Pissed me off...Then there were just some inconsistencies in the story (Ex: Why would Keisha have a ceiling fan turned on if it's 11 below outside). Rex didn't strike me as an alpha male as we know most wolves to be. One minute he's menacing, then the next he's all-forgiving. What??? The romance is next to none. The couple spent more time apart or beefing with each other than together. It started off well enough, but sizzled pretty quickly. There are at least 2 more books that I know of in this series. I think I'll pass...

Not Bad

It could have been a little more in depth. I felt the ending was rushed. It should have been more elaboration on his confessing he is a werewolf. Ok storyline. I may read the next one.

My first book by author Kasey Moone, this interracial paranormal love story was cute in that it had all the substance that you would expect of college life for a nerd who is crushing on the campus jock. I found Keshia to be a funny but serious about her work senior who had enemies and faced crushing disappointment like many college students who put professor on a pedestal and when their hero falls it is crushing.

Enters Rex Kellerton, Edson College "Yummiest Male on Campus," for a lycan/werewolf I found him to be a little lacking in the alpha trait the most werewolves that I have read about or watched in movies. Rex was endearing in the way that he wanted his better half (how cute). I could understand his fear of being rejected, but he should not have lied to Keisha.

The cousin Nev, wow who has those types of conversations out in the open where anyone can hear.

All in all, this was a good read. This is my review and how I see it.

When Keisha was forced to tutor Rex Kellerton her campus crush, she didn’t know what she was getting into, nor did she want to get out of it. Rex set out to win her over and that’s exactly what he did. Have the entire set, wish there were more.

I liked how Rex knew that Keisha was his mate, and was willing to do what it took to be with her. But I just wonder why it took so long. Why he waited until school was almost over. The sex. was pretty good, the build up and tension was better than the actual act. The banter between Rex and his cousin was funny, and then his cousin turned douche to me after some comments were made about black girls. This book made me smile with the back and forth between Keisha and Rex, especially with her interactions with him while he is in wolf form. Pretty good read. I will probably read more by this author if the price is right.

I am not sure how I truly misunderstood what this book was about. I totally missed the paranormal aspect of the book when reading about the book. There were some really good aspects of the story and some really cure moments. There were also some times that I felt like the lead female character allowed a little bit too much non sense for my taste. It was a quick read and a lot of errors but overall I am not disappointed I read the book.

Loved it

Rex and Keisha who are the hero/heroine are seniors in college. Rex has realized Keisha is his mate so he pretends to need a tutor for a writing class so he can get closer to her. This is a delightful easy read about their relationship and the friends and family in their life. I recommend reading this.

Cute

A tad girlish for my taste. The setting wasn't my favorite. I didn't get the whole deal with teacher. I felt there could of be more of a story there. The ending was predictable. Overall a decent read for a teenage girl.

Should have been longer and addressed mire of the issues the couple were facing.
