I thoroughly enjoyed this story by Portia Da Costa.
Set initially in northern England, and in a country hotel often used in many of her other stories, the Waverley Hotel...where many a kinky game or two can be found, overlooked, or even encouraged.
Here we meet Elizabeth Aitchison, aka 'Lizzie' but introduced as and becomes known to John Smith as 'Bettie' a 24 year old following the style of famous model, Bettie Page.
John is older, and has many hidden attributes, from past and work, including

Dont look anywhere but where youre going. Belle had said in The Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Swan straight into a place as if youre meant to be there, head up, gaze forward, looing fabulous.

HAWT HAWT HAWT! Mind-blowing, overheating screw-tastic scorching hot sexy time alert! The sex scenes are totally world rocking so much so the Richter Scale doesn't have a number to classify some of them!! Tree stumps and rulers and rainstorms will never have the same meaning...

What an amazing book!! 5+ stars!!

What a great surprise this book was, it's a little gem!! It has I think the hottest sex I have ever read...BDSM scene in the woods while it was raining was knee shaking, breath taking, mind blowing, pants wetting :P Let's say the hero and heroine don't use the bed much and that's refreshing!! I never saw BDSM games so hot as after reading their games...totally a super fan :DDD He can have me there in the woods anytime lol

So we have a dark blonde, blue eyes very

The Accidental Call Girl. Black Lace Classics. Portia Da Costa.

ARC supplied by Netgalley.
I do enjoy erotic romance :) so I thought this would be fun...and it was. Lizzie ducks out of a party into the adjoining bar for a few moments and meets John. He mistakes her for a high class call girl and on a whim she goes with it. He's sex personified and she has such a fabulous session with him she agrees to meet him again. The attraction takes them both by surprise, but Lizzie isn't the only one hiding

Ive been a huge Portia Da Costa fan for many years, so I was excited to hear that she was releasing a trilogy. I deliberately waited until the third book became available so I could read all three, back to back.

The Accidental trilogy is lauded as being an erotic romance for women with a Pretty Woman fantasy. While I dont have that fantasy, I do adore Portias work and was eager to dig in.

Book one, The Accidental Call Girl, tells the story of Lizzie Aitchison, a young woman who meets a hot older
Part 1 of the Accidental Trilogy.

I love erotic romance novels and looked forward to this book, girl duck out of a boring party into the bar, eyes meet a stunning older gentleman he thinks she is a escort she plays along, and so the story starts.

Unfortunately i feel like ive missed something, although the story was good and the sex scenes were hot and some times made me chuckle, Lizzie and John have a great banter between them. They have lots and lots of steamy sex in all sorts of places, that

I really enjoyed the first book of Portia Da Costa's Accidental trilogy. It was filled with hot scene after hot scene, which never became tedious or lost any momentumn. I liked Lizzie's Bettie Page pin-up girl image and the fact that she made her own clothes. Most of the book is from Lizzie's point of view. This made her a very likeable heroine as I experienced her excitement and doubts of pretending to be a call girl. There are occasional insights into John's mind too. I came to look forward to ...more

I pulled an all nighter with this book! John meets Lizzie and assumes she is a call girl. Wow! She follows the ruse along thinking it is just for fun. John is to hunky and perfect I must say both Lizzie and I fell in love with him. A must read!
I liked this book. I was tempted to give it 4 stars, but I felt more comfortable with 3. If I could give it 3.5 I would, but alas, there is no half star on Goodreads.

Let me start off by saying: THIS IS AN EROTICA NOVEL. Readers shouldn't expect much "plot". And if they're looking for plot then they shouldn't be reading erotica. If you're disappointed that it's all sex scene after sex scene, well, too bad because - again - this is an EROTICA novel. An erotica novel is a fancy way of saying SEX

Girl goes to bar, sees handsome older gentleman, man offers the girl a drink & a trip to his room. But then the man asks the girl what her nightly rate is. What?

Is this how we imagine our Pretty Woman fantasies being played out? Not me! But this doesnt mean I didnt enjoy the hell out of this book.

The well written prose, with a lovely setting of England, is a funny, sexy page turner. John Smith is our leading man who is 40ish looking for a one night stand. Lizzie is the heroine, she a a 20

Say you're in a hotel bar one night, trying to relax a little and perhaps escape a dull party. An attractive man spots you, buys you a drink, and then invites you up to his room. Before you can assume it's a generic pick-up, he mentions payment. You realize that he thinks you are an escort. What do you do?

Lizzie decides to toss aside her otherwise fairly staid and predictable life and head upstairs with the delectably gorgeous John Smith. She figures a night of hot headboard rocking sounds

This book was so disappointing, I'm affraid to read other bokos from Portia da Costa.

Lizzie is an average girl, temping in offices and trying to find out what to do with her life. Until one night out she meets a beautiful man who mistakes her for a call girl. But he's so good looking and sexy she goes with it - because who doesnt have a fantasie of being a sex worker, right? 😣- so she can explore some of her own fantasies and maybe have a night of fabulous sex - cause call girls have fantastic

I enjoyed this book, John is one hot, strong, and dominant man and I loved the idea of this book. It is truly a fantasy to meet a sexy man in a bar, and pretend to be someone your not and experience some of the best sex ever. I really like Lizzie, she is adventurist, loyal, and creative. I love them together and I have to say I was thrilled to death that the author did not have them go to "The Party" and mess around with other people, I was so happy they only spent time with each other. Lizzie gets bored at a party and decides to go to the bar at the hotel where she meets John. John thinks she is a prostitute and wants to hire her for the night she doesn't correct them. He ends up hiring her for the time he is in town on business. The two of them grow closer and it becomes more than just sex. I did not like this book at all, I thought Lizzie was naive and made some really dangerous and stupid decisions. John

I gave Accidental Call Girl 4 stars, but I'm torn between a 3.5. It was written in the third person, which was strange yet interesting. I love Lizzie's character that I sometimes wished we could have had more of her inside thoughts. I think they would have been hilarious!

John Smith is charming and seductive and everything in between! Maybe it was just me, but at every mention of John Smith, I flashed backed to Pocahontas, and her John Smith!

i read this book 'cause a recommendation from a GR's friend of mine.

and oh well, it's a lovely story. It's not one of fast-paced story, but it didn't make this story any less exciting.
Because the slowness of the story itself, we can feel the intensity of the story. It just make the story hotter ;)
The uncover mystery from this book didn't left us hanging, but it just make us curious. A good cliffhanger i guess.

but i couldn't help but compare this book to fifty's series. I see the similarities,

What can you expect when you pick up an erotic novel? A lot of sex and not a lot of plot, one could say. And this is exactly what this novel provides - though it had potential for so much more.

The Accidental Call Girl is one long sex scene - quite well written at that, I think, but after a while it just becomes repetitive and boring. So much so that I ended up fast forwarding through some of the events in the audiobook version, I was listening to. I never do that. Its not a good sign.

Who is He?

Boredom led Lizzie Aitchison to abandon her friends at a wedding party in the luxury Waverley Grange County Hotel. In the hotel bar she meets and accepts a drink from an attractive and handsomely dressed older man. Instantly the chemistry between them is explosive. And assuming she is a high class 'call girl' looking for a wealthy client, this older man introduces himself as John Smith and she gives her name as 'Bettie'. Wasting no time he immediately invites her to his hotel room.

Happily ever comes after everything else but everything before makes the risks worthwhile. The Accidental Call Girl places 24 year old Lizzie at a crossroads in her life when she dares to experience life differently. She assumes the identity of Bettie Paige, an escort to the wealthy John Smith. Lizzie reminds that the heart is a great teacher.

A very SWEET story!!!

I loved the beginning of the Accidental series! John and Lizzy (or is it Betty or ??) were really a special couple. They were both so hesitant/unsure of where this relationship was going to go. The start to their relationship was a very unusual beginning - to say the least! I loved all aspects of the story! Portia outdid herself!!

A scorching erotic romance that will leave readers breathless, The Accidental Call Girl is the first title in best-selling author Portia Da Costa's dazzling trilogy charting the turbulent and tempestuous relationship of ordinary girl Lizzie Aitchison and gorgeous multi-millionaire John Smith!

When Lizzie had agreed to accompany her friend Shelley to a party at the Waverley Grange Hotel as a favour, little did she imagine that her life was going to be turned upside down by a mysterious stranger

I would have loved to give this a 5 star rating, but I feel there was not enough story for the extra star.
Ok as normal for me, the negative first;
Scary to say, there was too much sex and not enough emotional connection between John and Lizzie.
Having said that, if the book was a tad longer, then it certainly would be a 5 star.
Ok, and now to the good stuff :)

Lizzie is a young and sometimes a little naive woman, who get swept away when she spy's John, a very attractive oder man across the bar.
Lizzie Aitchison needed a break from a boring party being held at the Waverley hotel so she ducks into the hotel bar only to discover she's mistaken for a call girl by one of the bar patrons. Seeing a chance to live out one of her fantasies she takes on the alias of "Bettie" and agrees to a single night of kinky passion at the hands of a man who likes his sex "fancy" and doesn't mind having to pay extra for it.

When one night turns into more "Bettie" knows she needs to come clean about her real

I waited too long to review this book after I read it because I couldn't decide how to go about it-- do I rate it as I do any book, or do I rate it an erotica novel (of which I have limited experience).

What I can tell you is that this book is 90% erotica and 10% fiction, so there remains very little to be reviewed. If you're looking for a kinky read though, this book is literally sex scene after sex scene in almost every way you could want it (or maybe I'm just naive). I bought this book

SINFULLY HOT!!! Have you ever had a wish...a secret desire to be more do more than what life had dealt you? What if you dared to take a chance, throw caution to the wind and just jump into the unknown? Well that is the premise set up by the devilishly decadent story woven by Portia Da Costa.

I was gifted a copy of this book in return of an honest review. Ms. Da Costa paints the tale of average lost girl Elizabeth, drifting through life not living it. Invited to a party with her roommates at a

When Lizzie steps out of a friend's wedding reception and into a hotel bar, she realizes the handsome older man at the bar thinks she's a "high class call girl." It's an exciting prospect to consider and she decides to play along. It's even more exciting when she realizes it will give her a chance to try out some BDSM play.

John is so fascinated by the strangely innocent prostitute he picked up in the bar that he makes her offer - be with him every night during his business trip and he'll pay her
