Adrian is your average big shot lawyer in L.A., she works too much, is a target of poor losers and in love with one hot Hollywood actor Devon Varick. Like every red blooded woman, Adrian has fantasized about one Devon Varick, more than a time or two, but when her fantasy becomes a reality she doesn't know what to do. Can he possibly have feelings for her, is he being honest, can she trust him, is he the cause of all her troubles, and do his feelings come out of guilt? All questions that race thr Adrian is your average big shot lawyer in L.A., she works too much, is a target of poor losers and in love with one hot Hollywood actor Devon Varick. Like every red blooded woman, Adrian has fantasized about one Devon Varick, more than a time or two, but when her fantasy becomes a reality she doesn't know what to do. Can he possibly have feelings for her, is he being honest, can she trust him, is he the cause of all her troubles, and do his feelings come out of guilt? All questions that race through Adrian's mind, all questions she can't answer until their very lives are put in danger and even then she doesn't know if she can trust those feelings.

Adrian is stubborn, talented, works incredibly too hard and doesn't recognize a good thing when she see's one. A tiger in the court room, but incredibly shy in life, she buries herself in her work to distract herself from her lack of personal life. And when real life comes knocking in the form of her Hollywood fantasy Devon Varick she doesn't quite know how to react.

Devon is also a workaholic, but he also knows how to have fun. An action star with looks to kill, Devon can't get fiesty Adrian Hoyle out of his head. She is the one woman who told him no, the one woman he couldn't have and the one woman he chased.

Then all hell breaks lose. Adrian becomes the target of a local mafia family, as her life is threatened and her world is turned upside down one person is always there, Devon, the last person she thought would be there for her. But with all the threats on her life and Devon's quick feelings, Adrian can't help but question the legitimacy of them.

I will admit when I first started All in the Name of Love I was in love. But it seemed that the more I read it, the more I seemed to get irritated with the story. First of all I think Devon fell for Adrian too quickly. But I can get over that, it was the actual story that kind of had me mad. I enjoyed the action and the overall idea of the story and what Margaret Taylor was trying to convey, but I think that some of the story was just a little unbelievable. I couldn't quite figure out exactly why Adrian became a target, okay, I take that back, I know the main reason that led to her becoming a target. What I don't really understand is the reason and explanation for Adrian and Devon being thrown together. To be honest the whole explanation sort of confused me and left me saying, how in the hell? (I can't tell you exactly what that is in reference to, because that would give away major plot points. So you will have to read it.) All in all it left me rather confused and disappointed.

And who knows, maybe you will like it and that aspect of the story won't drive you crazy. Either way you really need to decide for yourself.

All in the Name of Love has fun characters that were easy to love, with the beginnings of a story that has the potential to be amazing. I just didn't enjoy the way the story unfolded.

Let me start by saying generally I am not a fan of contemporary romance genre. I find the plot lines predictable and without something unique in the synopsis that catches my eye 9 times out of 10 I will pass .... unless of course you are one of my favorite authors.

When I first started reading this story, I didn't think I'd like it. The setup was, well, corny. It read like some fantasy a young girl daydreamed up. Plot twists came and went, and I felt like I could see everything coming, I wasn't impressed. But somewhere around the half-way mark the story took off with more twists and turns that an amusement park ride. Overall, I'm glad I stuck it out and read it through, I enjoyed it thoroughly. Once things picked up, I couldn't put it down.

I loved this book.
Adrian Hoyle is a successful lawyer, who fantasises about top Hollywood actor Devon Varick. One evening she actually meets him, from that moment on her whole life changes.
This was very exciting with, bombs, murders & kidnapping. The twists and turns in this story really kept you on your toes.
Adrian & Devon are so good together, I really enjoyed seeing their love story evolve. They were such great characters.

I really wanted to give this five stars but it really wasn't my cup of tea. I thought the way Adrian treated Devon was cruel. I know it was an HEA, and for that I am grateful but I just didn't do it for me. There was too much in between with the mafia bits and the running and the everything. When I first started reading it I was like okay this is just going to be your regular romance story, but boy was I wrong! I just love Adrian and Devon! I HIGHLY recommend this book! Adrian Hoyle & Jessica Sterns are best friends. They are also partners in a well known law firm. They are up and comers so to speak. Both come from well to do families so this isn't your typical poor girl gets swept off her feet by the rich bachelor, infact, when Adrian meets heart throb movie star Devon Varick she ends up with her finger poking his chest and backing him into a wall outside a restaurant's parking lot giving him a rather large piece of her mind before drving away in her classic m Adrian Hoyle & Jessica Sterns are best friends. They are also partners in a well known law firm. They are up and comers so to speak. Both come from well to do families so this isn't your typical poor girl gets swept off her feet by the rich bachelor, infact, when Adrian meets heart throb movie star Devon Varick she ends up with her finger poking his chest and backing him into a wall outside a restaurant's parking lot giving him a rather large piece of her mind before drving away in her classic mustang GTO.
Devon fills her office with every conceivable kind of flowers to say he's sorry. She in turn searches out and sends him something so uniquely perfect to say that she is also sorry for blowing up at him. And life goes on.......Then one day a referral shows up to ask for Adrian's help in a matter that isn't really the kind of thing a lawyer would handle, but after hearing the desperation and fear, Adrian agrees to look into it. The Castalano crime family wants controlling stock shares in return for wiping the slate of his wifes astronomical gambling dept. The poor guy figures they want to use his company to import/export illegal drugs, but their also into other things like women, children, dogs, horses.ect..... Adrian asked him who referred her and of course it was Devon Varick. .....so, Adrian starts researching and digging into the Vincent Castalano Sr, looking for anything that could be used as leverage because outside help is out of the question, these guys don't mess around as Adrian is about to find out. She has unearthed a secret worth killing over to keep and your not gonna believe who it concerns and I am not telling! Suffice to say that as the whole sorted plan ( years in the making) along with secrets comes to light.....Vincent will stop at nothing and I mean nothing, even kill his own son! Adrian is critically injured and burned when her law office blows up. Devon stays at the hospital the whole time (weeks) reading and talking to the dying Adrian, who some how pulls through. Their friendship turns into romance, to love over the course of her recuperation. But Devon has a secret of his own that he is terrified to tell her for fear of losing her. I know it was a jaw dropping moment for me!
This heart wrenching story spans several years and drug me through the the whole gambit of emotions. It's an emotional rollercoaster of murder, torture, blackmail, betrayal and death. Every time I thought I knew something, I was wrong. This intriguing, well written saga really had me. I just have to say that Margaret Taylor went all out on this one! This wonderful story grabbed me from the first paragraph. If you are looking for romance and suspense and intrigue...this book is for you. I love the characters, the emotion that was so intense for Devon when something happened that ultimately changed him and Adrian is so believable as an attorney and as a person. The sweet romance that began was a love at first sight and I believe in fairy tales and movie stars and happily ever afters. Great job, Ms. Taylor

Not your typical romantic suspense. The main character becomes badly burned and nearly dies after being caught in an explosion meant only to scare her. An actor who has the hots for her stays by her side during her grueling recovery, first out of guilt, then to prove his love for her. But both soon realize there is more to the story and eventually learn that they are victims of a twisted plot involving a mafia boss. Lots of twists and turns with a great, but surprising ending.
