Because I know the lady who wrote this book (and I beta read for her which is cool!), I may be slightly biased. But only slightly!

I love how the town comes together to solve problems! And Michael is sooooo cool! Also, I just love the idea of the town in the tree and tiny people! Because they are so awesome! The writing is pretty clear and accessible for younger kids. However, it would be great for a fifth or sixth grader who is ready for a more advanced middle-grade book! I highly recommend

Adi’s World is Uniquely Magical

With her fresh prose the author skillfully transports the reader to Maple Community where people very similar to us—except they are little—live inside a tree. This amazing book flows smoothly, capturing the imagination of the reader as she creates a fascinating world, one that is foreign, and yet familiar to us at the same time. This is a rich tale of life, relationships, and challenges as seen through the eyes of a young woman—who is gently guided by Michael, a

As someone who has lived in many different places, I love learning about how communities live and thrive together. Adi's World brought my on a wonderful journey into the life of maple community, a city of small people building their civilization and culture inside of a tree. As a citizen of Maple Community, you will see how so many facets of our world are important, from education to engineering to business to governance, and how they can they can work together to serve their society. I was kindly sent an e book copy of this by the author . I really liked this book, it was all about a community of tiny people who live in a tree . it revolves around family and school life and most of all it is about friendships and faith . After facing a very tragic event in her life , Adi must move forward and gain her confidence again , with the guidance of a mysterious man called Michael ( who I imagine to be like a guardian angel ) she gradually learns to do so .

While I know that I am somewhat biased, I think you will really enjoy this book. It's a great read for anyone who needs to learn to believe in themselves and to learn to trust others.

This book should be included in middle school required reading curricula. It is very relatable to the types of situations preteens and prepubescent children often face, including bullying, peer pressure, low self esteem, trials and tribulations of friendships and loyalties, and loss of friends and loved ones, and how to cope with grief. The characters of this book display various coping mechanisms for different situations. Some positive, others not so much, but each provides the reader something ...more

This is a fantastic book for kids who enjoy discovering other worlds. It is a magical story about a community of tiny people living in a tree. As a writer myself, I enjoy when authors are creative and build new worlds rather than stick with what is right in front of their nose. Jo-Marie not only builds a believable world but creates characters, like Ari, who are loveable and realistic. Despite the magical setting the plot is also about friendship and confidence which is something everybody ...more

This story takes place in a school setting that is tucked into a remarkable, tree-bounded world. Adi herself is an uncommon, likable girl, and her adventures spark the reader’s curiosity, giving rise to questions such as, “What next?” “How could this work out in these peculiar circumstances?” As Adi grows and learns, she gains insights about understanding others and getting along with those who are different. Unique!
