This is a fast-paced book that you won't want to put down, as there are twists and turns at several corners. The character development is not extensive, but anyone who has spent much time in the adademic world will have no trouble imagining the personalities. Even as a work of fiction, there are many things in this book that ring true to anyone who has spent time as a business school faculty member, pariticularly in earlier generations. Kudos to the author for such an interesting first novel.

I really enjoyed this, and am hoping for a sequel. The descriptions of the university, and some of the characters in it, were perfectly done. I liked the brother-and-sister protagonists, and can see some interesting conflict between the two in future installments.

Technically, I would give this 1.5 stars since I did finish it, mostly for the joy of talking about it with my book group. While the plot had potential, the writing was flat, the characters were superficial and the editing was terrible. Ugh.
