Spells: Spellcraft to Bring Magic to Your Life and Reality to Your Desires

Rate this book
Since the earliest days of the earthly existence of human beings ordinary people have performed acts of magic to keep their lives running smoothly. There are literally countless spells both recorded on paper and passed down by word of mouth - spells to benefit the user by attracting love, warding away negativity, averting disaster, improving finances, protecting the self and loved ones from harm.

The delightful spells in this book are taken from this large collection, from around the world. They make use of readily available items found in nature and around the home such as herbs, crystals, oils, candles and flowers. You will not have to look far for most of the spices, flowers and candles used, nor will you need to spend a lot of money. These are spells for anyone who wants to weave a little magic and enchantment into their life.

Well, there's a lot of bullshit in this book.

But that doesn't mean that I want to debunk it completely. It is very well written and contains many spells, charms and traditions from many "magical" ancient cultures around the world.

The thing about a book like this is you can't take it too seriously. You can't sit down with the book and all the ingredients and expect that after doing each one step by step your life is suddenly going to change and be so much better and easier. I am afraid you will be pretty disappointed. Life can't be solved through recipes and this book does make this clear. These are not answers to all your problems, but if you (like me) want to believe that everything isn't science and that there still is some magic left in the world, then this book is a nice little treat!
